Hey guys I’m currently stressing myself out. When I press or touch my stomach my baby would react to it and kick be he barely does it anymore and I’m 31 weeks what could probably be wrong?

When I was pregnant and went into the 30 + weeks the baby has less room and tends to not kick as much but you should still feel little flutters and yk the small movements , my doctor used to say you should be able to feel at least 10 movements in a span of 3-4 hours if you don’t feel them you should tell your doctor

How long has it been? If it’s been more than half a day, call your doctor’s office. But first try drinking some juice or eating something sweet and then lay on your side and see if baby is more active. If you can’t get in touch with your doctor’s office, and the sweet snack doesn’t encourage movement, I would go to the ER for peace of mind.

Honestly if you go sit in a dark room and count the movement for a hour to three you should at least be able to count 10 kicks in that time if you don’t or are still super concerned I say for peace of mind go to labor and delivery and tell them your concerns

My baby would usually kick when hungry, eating, or if id lay on my right side, or if poked him for a while. He rarely kicks now. I feel after 35ish weeks the count lowered. But hes healthy and all so idk what it is. I think maybe since I have an anterior placenta maybe thats why I feel it less? Id say just make sure baby is healthy and if so dont worry abt it but if 24hrs go by no movement then yes go get checked out.

When in doubt, check it out. It’s never wrong to tell your midwife or OB. They have kick counter apps that can be helpful too. But it’s not uncommon for babies to have a harder time moving as they get bigger. My baby didn’t always respond to my touching of belly. But, the important things in medicine/humans is trends - if baby abruptly stops doing what they always reliably did before, I would ask to be checked out.

Hey mama this happened to me in both pregnancies but midwife’s reassured me that it’s just because baby may be in a different position, or directing kicks towards the back, or just doesn’t feel your initial push or just has less room to do such forceful kicks that I notice. As long as you still feel baby moving regularly I wouldn’t be concerned. But if you are really worried then call your hospital triage x
