At what age do you stop waking for a feed in the night and let them guide you?

My baby is 4 weeks old and I set alarms for her feeds, we feed at 11, 2, 5 and 8 day and night.
At what age do I stop waking her in the night for a feed?
Tonight she seemed really settled still and so sleepy at her 2am.. 🙈
Thanks!

I’ve not been waking mine at all but he has been pretty good at letting me know when he wants it and it’s quite regular! Tonight he has gone 9-2 without a feed and I just let him sleep! I’m no expert obviously haha but if they’re putting on weight and feeding fine etc I would defo say they’re ok to leave longer overnight especially x

Not helpful sorry but my daughter was suggested to feed on demand and let her wake me up, but the times she wakes up are the exact times you have alarms ! I think the general rule for waking them up is till they are after their birth weight?

i never did this with my babies, we just let them sleep and wake up when they were hungry

My baby girl is 6 weeks on Friday, we’ve never woke her for a bottle. She’ll let us know when she’s hungry ☺️

My baby boy is 6 weeks and i dont wake him, he starts fussing in the moses basket then i make his bottle. I just use pre made milk at night so it only takes a second to make. Hes never got upset and i always change his nappy before his feed x

I’ve never woken mine. They advise not to let them go longer than 6hours before they are at birth weight but other than that let them sleep if they want to sleep. You need sleep mama! No need for alarms

My baby is 4 weeks old and I don’t wake him, as was told to be lead by him as long as he is gaining weight and above birth weight (which he is) 🙂

I don’t wake my baby boy (just over 3 weeks old), he wakes me when he’s hungry – but he’s never screaming crying, I just wake up when he starts moving a bit more. It’s amazing how in tune you can be!

You can stop now. Once they gain their weight back you’re good. They’ll lead and have their own routine.

We follow babys lead. Never needed to set alarms she tells us when its feeding time.
And, i wouldn't stop feeding during the night anytime soon, its not doable. Waking for feeds is what your baby needs, especially in the newborn stages.

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

6 month old autistism

My 6 month old makes no eye contact with me and doesn’t respond when I call him. Can this just be a phase or personality trait as apposed to autism

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

Baby with chronic congestion

Hi everyone! My 1 year has been a congested baby since birth almost. She breathes through her mouth so often that it wakes her up multiple times at night and she cries and screams and then struggles to go back to sleep. She wakes up every 1-3 hours and sometimes can’t go back to sleep for 2-3 hours!!! Piriton is the only thing that seems to help her sleep mostly through the night but I can’t keep giving her that!!
Does anyone have tips as to have I can do or give her? Has anyone experienced? I have no idea when I’ll get an ENT appointment and I have no idea what he can give a 13 mo :( we are desperate for sleep so any tips are welcome!! We have tried steam inhalation, saline drops, vapour rubs and everything off the counter basically!
