Dream feeding

Does anybody dream feed their baby? My baby is 10 months old, goes down at 7 has a dream feed at 10 and wakes at 4. If we don’t dream feed him he will wake between 12-1. The only time he’s slept all the way through was when he was in with us. Need help! I hope I’m not the only one

Have you tried moving the dream feed to 11 instead? Xx

We only do 10 because that’s what time we go to bed, he will wake at 4 aswell if we dream fed him at 11. It’s so hard xx

When we dream-fed our little one , he would wake up about 3 hours later and we had 2-3 dream-feeds over night... Bed at 8pm, dream-feed at 11pm, dream-feed at 2am and at 5am, awake at 7am. So we stopped the dream-feeds and now we feed him when he wakes up at night: bedtime between 7/8pm, wake up at 12am, awake for the morning between 5.30/7am.
At night he is awake for about 30-50mins and falls asleep right after his nappy change and bottle/booby.
It seems like since he is fully aware of the feed, it keeps him full longer or lasting longer - at least that's what we assume 🤷🏼‍♀️

I don’t think dream feeding is a good idea as it encourages them to feed at that time. Just wait until baby naturally wakes up for a feed and that time should stretch gradually to all night.

My daughter dream feeds usually once a night but more during the day

He might just not be capable of going more than 6 hours! I did a dream feed until 1 when we really pushed solids. It worked for us but she could only go 9 hours without a feed at the time. So if we didnt dream feed her she'd wake at 3 or 4...but if we did shed sleep til 7 or 8.

I have never dream fed either of my kids. My first is 22 months and sleeps through, but my second is 12 weeks and has his last bottle at 7.30/8.30 then wakes at 3/4am then back down till 6.30/7.30am.

If I woke to feed he would then wake up every 2 hours.

If we don’t dream feed him he wakes around 1 he never goes the whole night anymore and he wakes up crying and the only thing that soothes him is milk x

How long hasn’t he slept through for now? I remember this sort of sleep regression/milestone for my daughter. But we did co sleep so it was a bit easier x

He hasn’t slept the whole night since being in his room, so around 7/8 months old. When he was next to us he would go 7/7 7/6 x

I don’t think there is anything wrong with doing a dream feed. Some babies need it. 10 months is a massive milestone for them so he could grow out of it. If he drinks it, he obviously needs it.

I know that’s not much help sorry! But have a read up on google about 10 months x

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

Not drinking

I’m going crazy. Baby born at 2.26kg. Slow to put on weight. This last week hasn’t put on any. Been trying to feed him at night and he’s not interested at all. Fast asleep. During day he will have 5 minute gulps and that’s it. He don’t cry for milk. I’ve got to keep offering to him. I try to offer it every hour but I don’t know what I’m doing. HV said nutrition comes after 5 minutes so I should pump first and then give him. I find it so hard. I tried to pump one boob nothing came. The other abit came. Tried giving him express he’s not interested in that too. Sometimes he will go for a longer a feed but not long at all. He’s 4 months and is currently 5.46kg. I have no family or friend support here and wish I had a cook, cleaner and nanny to help with everything so I can concentrate on the little one. I don’t know what’s wrong with him but I’m loosing it. It doesn’t help that my also stressed generally about my relationship and life circumstances. Any advice that will work. Any comfort you can give. I’m fed up. Is this regression - not feeding. He’s fast fast asleep. I’ve been trying to push the nipple in but that mouth is closed shut. I took some clothes off. Changed his nappy but he’s still asleep. Please help

5.30am wakeups 😫😴

My 15 week old has started waking up about 5.30am and is really hard to settle back down - it’s like he thinks it’s time to wake up for the day. He used to go to bed at 9pm and was up at 8am but now he goes to bed between 7.30-8pm as he’s knackered by then but waking up at 5.30am😴. Any advice to get him to sleep a little longer in the morning?! Even an extra hour would be lovely 🤣
