My husband and I are dying here. My 2 year old keeps waking up through the night. I’m talking 4+ times a night. We have a bedtime routine. He has a blacked out room, sound machine, cool room. We give him a snack and some milk before bed. We’ve tried adjusting bedtime, reducing naps, keeping naps, taking away naps. We’ve tried adjusting bedtime. Got him a nighttime/daytime clock with the sun and moon. We’ve brought snacks to bed. You name it, we’ve tried it. We’re exhausted. My husband works shift work so it’s either I’m up all night with him or my husband is. He’s afraid of screwing up at work one day because we’re barely functioning. I need advice. Help. Tell me I’ll sure. Anything? 🆘

Hi. Tart cherry juice helps with melatonin. Chamomile might help him relax as well. Is he waking up to lay in bed with you? Some kids don't do well sleeping alone.

I understand mine has her days and nights mixed up it’s hard 😖😖😖😖😖

Have you tried safe co-sleeping?
So just an update. We’ve gotten through most of the rough patch and here’s what’s helped.
1) I make sure if he wakes up it’s the most boring thing in the world. I repeat the same phrase “hey buddy let’s get you tucked back in. I love you. See you jn the morning”. I did this 5-10 times a night for the first 3 nights the only once or twice from night 5-7.
2) at bedtime I keep the same routine but now I add in before he’s asleep “mama is going to stay right here with you until you fall asleep then I’m going to go sleep in my room”.
3) start the day at 6:00 when he wakes up because it’s just easier.
4) 1.5 hour timed napped after lunch.
We had a slide a few weeks after but got right back on track. He’s doing so much better and hubby and I can think straight again.
The first few nights are HORRIBLE I’m not going to lie but it was worth trying on our end
