I need Help getting my supply to increase. I am almost 2.5 weeks PP. I was just exclusively breastfeeding and not pumping for the first few days but unfortunately my little man was jaundice and I had to start pumping to make sure he was getting enough to “flush his system”. Because of this I chose to exclusively pump as he became confused with the bottle vs breast. I am only getting about 2-3oz combined each pumping session right now with pumping every 2-3hrs. My first morning pump (around 3-4am) I get about 4-4.5oz combined but that’s the most I produce. I would like to increase my supply enough where I can get a freezer stash going for when I return to work. He eats about 2-3oz right now. And I have a small amount I have been able to freeze but not much. I have been power pumping at least once a day, drinking 4-5 40oz tumblers of water daily, I also have been drinking at least 1-2 packets of the legendary milk electrolyte drink mixes. Also have been eating lactation snacks and cookies/brownies and trying to make sure I eat all 3 meals daily. My pump is the mom cozy M5 and I know it doesn’t empty me all the way so I run it for an extra 10min after my initial pump session and that helps. I plan on getting a Spectra Electric pump this week and making that my main pump. I just want to try and get my supply up before I return to work. Any tips would be amazing.

The momcozy v1 pro is really good for a hospital grade pump x

Sounds to me like you’re doing all I would suggest trying. All I can say is just stay consistent and DON’T STRESS OVER IT! Being stressed is a major cause of supply drop.
Keep doing what you’re doing and you’ll see it increase slowly over time. And don’t let the amount per pump discourage you, it’s looking at the total per day that you start noticing the changes

I used a spectra and it was great. Make sure you have the correct settings and flange size. Sounds like you’re doing all the right things

Hi. You’re doing everything right. Keep it up. I recommend using the spectra as your main pump and the m5 sparingly. I met with a lactation consultant and she advised me to not use my mom cozy until I was two months postpartum. She said to rely mostly on spectra and not the wearable pump.
Be sure to measure your nipples and check your flange size as that can greatly affect production

What worked for me was Fennel tea. And still does. Drink it twice or 3 times a day and see if there is a difference at all. If not - then youre probably already doing most of the good things already it just takes some time. Another thing I would suggest is try to have baby on breast a little if you can, or even more skin to skin contact cuddles as those help boost supply. But other than that youre doing great! Don't stress! x

There’s a brand called hot mama that is good for helping milk supply they do teas and hot chocolate powder all natural ingredients to help with boosting milk supply.

Your output is normal for his age, babies don’t need more than 4-5oz of breastmilk per feed form 1-6 months as it changes composition over time. I have both the pumps you are talking about and the spectra definitely empties me more quickly.

I’m currently in this boat with my 3 month old, have a 2 year old who was absolutely fine breast feeding, but I’m currently on holiday in Australia and just ended up in hospital with baby and I started on the swisse breast feeding tablets that have fanugreek in them, and my godness my supply has picked up! Also brewers yeast and oats!
