Could you forgive? Or even continue to love?

My husband struggles with anger as a part of his adhd and was very demonized when this happened. He hurt one of our animals to the point where the vet recommended we put her down. I somehow continued on because he was extremely remorseful and begged for forgiveness. A rescue took her in and rehabbbed her to what we thought was normal but as soon as she came back she started having problems. Its been about a week and her problems leave health concerns for our 4 children so I asked if they would take her back. They said they'll take her but it's time to say goodbye we don't want her to suffer. Her death will be on his hands and I dont know how I can call myself a good mom and stay with someone who's anger caused the death of one of our pets. I feel so heart broken both about her and about him. We have 4 kids in a blended family and splitting will be really hard on them. I don't know what to do

Your husband physically hurt an animal on purpose, he would not be allowed around my children ever again.

We are called to forgive. Forgiveness doesn’t automatically mean reconciliation. So we must and should forgive especially because we won’t be forgiven by Yahweh in return.

That said, while I understand your pain, I don’t think this would be a biblical reason for divorce. I’m sure you love your pets and what he did was wrong but this remains a pet. Is your husband willing or working towards fixing his anger issues? Is he actively praying for his own healing? Does he have leaders he is accountable to?

First off, I am so sorry for what you are going through. That is so unbelievably sad. Second, I can't tell you what yo do in your marriage but I can say, if you stay you should demand that he gets help. If he is causing physical harm to animals, then the next stage will be you or the kids. It's how mental illness works. It either gets better or worse. Tell him he needs to work on this, or he can not be around the kids. If he loves them, and I'm betting he does, he will agree. If he doesn't, then you need to make sure the kids are safe and, at a minimum, not allow him around them alone. I'm not saying he's some horrible monster, things are never that black and white, but he is dangerous.

First and foremost my heart goes out to you for going through this all the while having to protect 4 children. I do agree with Bethany, he needs professional help. Otherwise you and your kids are not safe. Not even in an immediate sense of him hurting you, but the physiological and emotional trauma of being around this energy and aggression can affect you and your kids long term. My father was an aggressive alcoholic. To this day a slammed door sends my body into fight or flight, and he never laid a hand on me. He did my mother, and it was always the same story… I’ll change, I’ll get better, I’ll go to church. He’d start to fall back into the same patterns, and the more times my mother forgave, the more frequent the incidents became.

I do believe you can forgive, but you need to set boundaries and stay true to them. You can help, but know that true change does not come unless that person is ready is willing to do it for themselves. I think you should also seek guidance from someone

… you trust. To help you in this situation and help you see clearly. It’s that much harder to know how to handle the situation when you have others dependent on you as well. Praying for you and your family. I hope he finds his healing. 🙏🏻

It won't let me respond to your questions so I'll write it here. God is loving and just and so I believe He is okay with you living separate with your husband until he is safe to be around both physically and emotionally for you and your children. Forgiveness means that we don't require repayment. It doesn't mean that we put ourselves in unsafe situations just because someone days they're sorry. God would not want you or your children to live in a house that is unsafe. I'll be praying for your family. ❤️

First pray to the Lord! You must forgive everyone no matter what it is. When Jesus walked this Earth he forgave the Pharisees and Judas. He washed Judas’s feet knowing he would betray him. And God Forgives us each and everyday and we all deserve to be punished, so not forgiving is like saying that we are above the Lord in giving Grace. Have a conversation with your husband about your concerns, pray with him each and every day and cast the demon of anger out of him.

Don’t split up over ur pet. He is asking for forgiveness, u should forgive him. Pray that Jesus helps u forgive him.

Splitting won’t be hard on them but staying will.

Any mamas in this situation? Doc says she needs formula

Breastfed since one month old. Born (4lbs 11oz) At her two month check with my midwives they said she was doing really well with weight gain (6lbs 5oz). Now at 3 months we went to our family doctor and she is at 7lbs 6.4oz.

My doctor is concerned about weight gain but also said she’s doing great with holding her head, being attentive, etc. Dr. Said I should give formula

But what I don’t understand is my daughter always seems satisfied with feeding and doesn’t cry or fuss after. Anyone have a similar situation?

Sleep Training

Hi! I was j wondering when everyone is starting sleep training and how they are doing it? My 3mo wakes up once of a night at around 3/4am after being asleep since 10pm, and has been doing so for about a month now. I’m not sure wether that means she is ready or not? She can sometimes settle herself after being woken up from a nap after about 2-3 mins (I never leave her longer as I get scared/worried about if she starts crying) and she has a pretty decent routine during the day. Should I start sleep training? What methods are good and reliable ( I am NOT considering the cry-it out method so please do not suggest it) (Pic so I don’t get lost)

When do your children go to bed?

I just saw a post about people being lucky their kids go to bed at 7pm, the comments were filled with people saying if they sent their kids to bed at 7…they’d be up at 3:30am / 4am / 5am…why is that??

My son goes to bed at 7pm and wakes up around 8/8:30am. I do consider myself really blessed with his sleep schedule however he doesn’t nap and he’s nearly 2 🤣 he dropped his final nap when he was around 14/15 months old 💔 if it’s later please let me know! Also what time they wake up - I’m curious 👀

Baby Losing Weight ☹️

Looking for a bit of advice/reassurance from other mums who are breastfeeding.

Baby had lost almost 10% of his birth weight at his Day 5 midwife home visit. He was weighed again today at Day 7 and his total weight loss is now 11%, so I’m feeling quite disheartened.

I’m exclusively breastfeeding and he’s feeding at least every 2 hours. He seems to be latching well and we’re getting plenty of wet nappies. The midwife is coming back in 2 days to weigh him again.

I’m going to make a conscious effort to increase my food and fluid intake too.

Has anyone else had a similar experience with their baby and managed to turn the weight loss around? Would really appreciate hearing how things went for you. Thanks

Laid back (biological) breastfeeding position

Hiya! ✨🌸
My baby is starting to feel heavy while breastfeeding in the cross/cradle position, and I would like to switch to the laid-back position.

Can you please share some tips?
Even better if there is an online video that I can watch (I’m a visual person)

Thank you so much 😊♥️
