Mini Crib vs Pack and play

My little guy is going to out grow his bassinet soon so we are now looking into what to get next. We have limited in our apartment so a full size crib is out of the question.

We are debating between the pack and play and getting a mini crib. Pros and cons of each? Which did you find worked better for you? Looking for some feedback before going to buy one or the other. TIA

Hi! I’m in a similar situation myself. I have full size cribs for my twins, but they’re not quite ready to be in their own room, but they’ve outgrown their bassinets. I opted for the pack and play. Each have their own and they love them! They’ve even started rolling from their stomach to their backs. I prefer the pack and play because they’ll still be able to use them to play even when I transition them to their cribs for sleeping. It folds up nicely and is multiple purpose, so that’s my choice. 😊

I would highly recommend a pack and play instead. We got one that is on the bigger side so it can fit him longer and it can travel with us! He has a full size crib in his room that he has slept in since he was 8 weeks old without issue. We also have a Slumberpod we put over it and it’s wonderful for sleep on the go. A mini crib just continues to be a stop-gap solution to a full crib which you’ll need soon anyways isn’t very portablz

This is the portable play yard for travel sleep we have and love and our friends regret getting other brands (it’s on sale for $93 right now!): https://a.co/d/f1ALXKd

My son started in a full-size crib but when we went to my parents' house, he stayed in a mini crib. Outgrew it fast. Now he sleeps in a pack n play because he flops around a lot and his limbs would get stuck between the crib bars lol. Personally, I'd recommend the pack n play <3

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

New born

Finally had my baby girl via C-section on the 18th, everything has been so far. But I’ve noticed she’s very fussy and cries a lot. I’ve been trying to exclusively breastfeed. The lactation consultant at the hospital said I did look like I’m making enough milk for her. She was latching on good at the hospital and now here at home, she doesn’t seem to want to latch at all. She’s been crying a lot and very fussy. I’m just wondering is she’s colic or like maybe she just doesn’t want the breast anymore?

5.30am wakeups 😫😴

My 15 week old has started waking up about 5.30am and is really hard to settle back down - it’s like he thinks it’s time to wake up for the day. He used to go to bed at 9pm and was up at 8am but now he goes to bed between 7.30-8pm as he’s knackered by then but waking up at 5.30am😴. Any advice to get him to sleep a little longer in the morning?! Even an extra hour would be lovely 🤣
