I went to pick up my daughter earlier today than I normally would, about three hours earlier because we had an appointment. I noticed her nappy felt full, so I changed her at the first opportunity. She was still wearing the nappy we put her in in the morning. Her book, where they log food, nappies and activities says they changed her once, but they obviously haven't. She's been sick a lot recently and off her food some days, so I keep a close eye on her nappies at the moment to catch any potential dehydration early. I'm always glad to see they changed her nappy four times and they were all wet. But now I just don't know if I can rely on what they write in her book at all anymore. It always says they changed her nappy four times and always wet (sometimes poo). Is this normal or did I catch them in a lie? Not sure if I should confront them

Absolutely confront them if she was still in the same nappy you sent her in!

That is not normal at all. I work in a nursery and we change children every 2-3 hours obviously earlier if they have pooped or nappy is overly full. Only time I don’t change a nappy is if it’s bone dry and I will always mark it on the nappy chart that it was dry but I’ll check the child 30 minutes to an hour after the dry nappy just incase they’ve had a wee and change them into a fresh one.
But 5.5 hours is far too long to leave a child in a wet nappy as it can cause sores and nappy rashes which is just pure laziness and unnecessary. Bring it up with the room leader, key worker or the manager x

Id be speaking to them

Im sure standard policy in nurseries is 4 hours maximum between nappy changes.
Definitely mention it to them as that not fair on your little girl.

Speak to the manager because whoever is working in ur child room all most be lazy and careless… its so not fair to ur little one …

How did you know it was the same nappy?
