I seriously would love to know how people are affording to be a SAHM? I have a son and am pregnant with my second child. I work full time from home and take care of my son. But it’s a lot! I would love to become a SAHM and fully just take care of my babies. But in this economy, it is scary to think we would be losing a whole income. What are some things you guys do to afford life? We want to buy a house next year. But a house in a decent area with a good amount of space. Is like over 2k a month, not to mention other bills.

Live smaller consider bus conversion or tiny house/1 bedroom apartment and bunk beds

Well we gave up a lot. No car payments because we bought a cheap used car, no tv/cable bill, cook all our meals at home, workout at home, budget our grocery and other spendings, have very few monthly payments (cell phone, rent, electricity, and gas), embrace the free yet fun activities(library, parks, walks), cheap vacations only (visit family or camping), live close to work to save on gas. We are saving to buy a house right now.

You can live super frugal and rent instead of buy a house and
your spouse gets a second job so you can stay home. Not ideal but worth it in my opinion

It depends on your partners income. I can help budget if you like but totally depends on what that single income looks like
