Pelvic floor

I am 17 weeks PP and I my pelvic floor muscles are still weak, I leak and have to be living in panty liners and pads. I can’t sneeze or cough without leaking or feeling wetness and hearing a noise release instantly. I’ve tried going to the GP for referral to pelvic floor therapist and my concern is constantly being brushed as side and I’m told to look up pelvic floor exercises and do them. I started doing them and felt no change so I stopped. Does any one has this issue, and I’m open to suggestions to improve this thanks.

I'd ask for a second opinion or maybe even ask to speak to the practice manager. I had the same issue and had to go to physio for months. Baby is a year and I'm finally signed off.

Definitely keep pushing! Doing kegals is the thing they usually tell you but sometimes it can cause more damage than good and only pelvic floor physio can tell
If you can maybe go privately
You can do kegals wrong without realising for example
Or sometimes doing kegals can actually make you leak more

I would say to continue with the pelvis floor exercises
Even if you get a referral to pelvic floor therapy you will be advised to do exactly that.

Also it's important to do pelvic floor exercises while pregnant which not sure if you were aware of

Whereabouts are you? In London there's a pp pelvic health self-referral you can do.

Keep asking for a referral or see if you can self refer. My issue was my pelvic floor was too tense and the traditional exercises were making it worse, and the pelvic physio gave me stretches and helped me relax the pelvic floor x

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

6 month old autistism

My 6 month old makes no eye contact with me and doesn’t respond when I call him. Can this just be a phase or personality trait as apposed to autism

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

5.30am wakeups 😫😴

My 15 week old has started waking up about 5.30am and is really hard to settle back down - it’s like he thinks it’s time to wake up for the day. He used to go to bed at 9pm and was up at 8am but now he goes to bed between 7.30-8pm as he’s knackered by then but waking up at 5.30am😴. Any advice to get him to sleep a little longer in the morning?! Even an extra hour would be lovely 🤣
