Does anyone else feel guilty if they are not playing with your baby during their wake windows. My baby is 4 weeks old and whenever she’s awake and I put her in her bouncer so I can get something done I feel really bad - she’s still in the same room and can see me but I feel like I’m not doing my job if I’m not talking directly to her or doing wake windows activities with her every time she’s awake

Watching what you do and just watching the world go by is enough stimulation for a 4 week old so don’t feel guilty you aren’t constantly interacting with her. They get a lot of just observing every day things!
Enjoy being able to put her down 😆
Don’t be so hard on yourself x

You can’t make a happy baby happier - watching the world go by is an activity in itself at 4 weeks old. Give yourself grace x

My baby is at the exact same mark and his favorite thing to do is to watch the world in his car seat, I trust there will be plenty of more active play as time roles on but rn like everyone else, watching and tracking with their eyes and tummy time is the most they do - don’t feel bad!

She’s 4 weeks old. You don’t need to feel guilty. She’s so fresh.
don’t be hard on yourself honestly.

I felt the same but I’ve come to learn as long as I’m chatting away to my baby with the occasional interaction she seems happy enough! At 4 weeks old I couldn’t even put her down without her screaming to be picked up so be thankful she allows you the freedom! Xx

Honestly they do so little at that age. Talk and sing to her. Play music. There's a lot you can do without getting down on the floor with her and you're probably still healing. Eventually she's going to start smiling at you and you won't be able to pull yourself away during wake windows. You also need to establish routines for yourself so if you need that time to get things done around the house then do it.
