We’ve been co sleeping since baby had been born. he’s now 4 months old it’s the best decision i’ve made i believe so anyway. my husbands family constantly tell me how he’s not going to get to sleep in his own bed ever because he’ll get used to the comfort. he’s also a breastfed baby and we breast feed through the night whenever he stirs. he of course sometimes just comfort suckles and my in laws think it’s a bad habit to allow him too. anyone had a breastfed cosleep baby who grew up to love their own bed? ps. since birth we chestslept and now moved into C curl but him facing me on his side and me on my side.

My girl was Bf till 3 she slept in my bed till then as well i think it’s just more of a comfort for both of us with falling asleep she’s 4 now and sleeps in her own bed. I now co sleep with my newest baby 3m 😂 they will like there own bed but also just want the comfort of there parents. So it’s up to you i personally couldn’t sleep with my baby being so far away for some reason.

You gotta do what you feel is right, not what your in-laws want. So many countries treat cosleeping as the norm and first choice and the kids always grow up and sleep in their rooms at some stage, that really isn’t a serious concern

9 months of co sleeping and breastfeeding x I love every minute of it. Takes me back to the first night 4 hours after giving birth, the way I laid with him on my chest 😭❤️ it’s amazing x

I do wonder if these types of people ever listen to what they're saying. Providing comfort to your baby/child no matter what age they are is a good thing surely?
I've coslept with LO since birth (she's now turning 6 months), and it's been the best thing for both of us. Everyone is also always commenting on how happy she is.
I jokingly (or not so jokingly) said to my parents yesterday that it's lucky we got a cot that turns into a toddler bed 🤣🤣

You say it’s the best decision you’ve made. That’s enough. Never know why in laws want to know so much about what goes on in our bedrooms. Typing this from next to my sleeping 5 month old who’s just stirred and quickly breastfed back to sleep.
I was also breastfed as a baby and can confirm that I have slept in my own room for ages. Except I now co sleep with my husband.
