Sick of seeing ads like this ….

Is anyone else fed up to the back teeth of seeing ads on Facebook regarding “being an older pregnant woman” or articles about other people having babies at an older age? I’ll attach a photo in comments below…. I’m in-undated with these type of posts which leads me to the comments where people are mean!!!! When did society get so judgemental and mean all the time? Why can’t people be happy for other people? I am so fed up of bitter and jealous people. Yes I am one heavily pregnant 36yr old mamma and I just want some positivity!!!!!

I think the NHS is absolutely shocking when it comes to things like this, especially the whole idea of a geriatric pregnancy. A pregnancy is a pregnancy, age alone shouldn’t define how you’re treated. Women of all ages experience complications, so singling people out based on age feels unfair and outdated. On top of that, maternity care is often appalling. You rarely hear about women having straightforward, natural labours without intervention anymore, which really makes you question what’s going on.

I had my daughter when I was 40. I know there many are age related concerns to keep in mind, and we gave them a lot of thought, but there are also a lot of positives that we could offer now we're older that we couldn't offer before (higher earnings means we can financially plan better than before, we now finally own a house and have a garden, she gets her own bedroom straight away, we are more calm under pressure and mature in our attitude than we used to be, etc). I hope that as motherhood over 35 (or even 40) becomes more the norm, there will be less need to single it out for comment.

I'm pregnant right now with my first and will be 43 by the time I give birth. I have honestly only had positive reactions. People are like, "Wow, well done!" I think it's important to separate what's said online with what's said in real life. When reading comments online, everyone seems to be hateful about everything and everyone. I just don't care about it.

In my eyes a baby is a blessing at any age, personally I couldn’t have been a young mum I never wanted to be either as I was young and immature and went out and partied a lot, I always said I wanted a baby at 30 when I met the right guy. I met my forever husband at 26 and fell pregnant at 27 with our first born. My husband is 10yrs older than me, so he was never thinking about another child, but we fell pregnant and are now expecting our daughter and I’m 36yrs old now, and I’m so happy. We are stable, we are married, we have a lovely family dynamic we rarely go “partying” so to speak and she is so welcome. But every other article I see online is just negative and in bad taste - especially when it’s “netmums” I am not sure what that picture is trying to say either ?!? Like we all look miserable when that’s not the case. I literally argued with a woman on the post as I put a positive comment on and she said “the happiness will fade once “its” born sorry you had to go through it twice”

Lost friends since being a mum

Good morning! Can anyone relate to this!

My two friends and me have always been close since our early teens. I’m the first to have a baby.

One friend has big house, career and boyfriend

Other out of a long term relationship and being single having fun etc

Before baby we would all hang at my
Apartment, chat eat and just have
Fun.

Now I don’t even get a text to ask how my baby is, how I am. I really thought they would be awesome aunties. But honestly they don’t care.

They meet up a lot to do cool things, which I can’t be upset about as I can’t as I have my baby.

I don’t know I feel sad about it.

Am I over reacting?

31 weeks pregnant and lonely

How to deal with loneliness in pregnancy when your boyfriend goes out with his friends drinking 😅🥲 I only have three friends, two are never really free and one lives back in Liverpool and has her own set of friends where she goes to raves and goes on holiday with them lol. My boyfriend is going out soon for the night as it’s sunny and I’ll just be sat here crying like every single time! When does it stop 🤣
