Oooo I’m thinking about this too. Im teetering on the side of ‘yes’ although the general recommendation is no, I need to read into the research. Will come back here when I’ve found info.

Has it been prescribed?x

Would not recommend any retinol at all whether breast feeding or during pregnancy- too much vitamin a is damaging for babies and fetus’s
I work for Clinique x

Chloe isn’t wrong in sense of topical retinols don’t enter blood stream like oral ones do, but there’s not been enough research into topical retinol and pregnancy/breastfeeding etc which is why it’s a standard not recommended situation.
Like Jess, I’ve worked in beauty too and we wouldn’t treat anyone who’s pregnant or breastfeeding with retinols x

I just avoid retinoids to be safe

I just avoid it full stop for the time being. I won't be breastfeeding forever and they'll still be there when she gets fed up of my boobs!

I believe you should avoid retinol during pregnancy and while breastfeeding

I just didnt use it while pregnant or breastfeeding. There isnt enough research to support using it. Just use alternative skin cares.
