I was talking with my husband and I wanted some more insight. So I am pregnant with our 3rd and final baby. My parents adopted our daughter back in 2020. She is 6 and will be 7 by the time this baby is here. I want to breastfeed this baby. We usually go see my family instead of them coming to where we live.
What are your thoughts about teaching her what it is if she has questions about? I don’t want to wear a cover while feeding the baby. But I’ll put a little blanket over the bare skin part if there’s anything showing.
If I am a guest at their house I’m not going upstairs or downstairs especially if I’m still recovering. My dad is going to be the one who throws the biggest fit over it.
What would you do? I don’t want to tell my oldest daughter that she can’t be with me if I’m feeding her baby sister. I breastfed my oldest and my son but was only able to do that for a couple months. But I want to try to do as long as I can this time. Since it’s our 3rd and final baby. Just praying for no complications.

Ultimately, if you’re staying at your parents, it’s probably best to play by their rules. I think it’s stupid and you should just feed your baby, but it is also their home.
As for your oldest, your parents are her legal guardians, so I think it’s their decision if you can share about breastfeeding. Again, I think people should learn to be cool with it, but she’s legally not your child.
