My baby is waking up 4-5 times a night at the moment and is taking about an hour and multiple failed transfers to get him down after each wake. Sat on my bed crying right now holding him after 2 frustrating failed transfers! Feel at the end of my tether.

Yes! Some nights are worse than others, sometimes she goes straight down and stays down other times I’m up for 2 hours 6+ failed attempts at which point I just bring her into bed. You’re not alone and this doesn’t last forever just remember that ❤️

We have been struggling with this for around 5 weeks now (baby is 17 weeks) and it also lead to many tears so you aren’t alone! My goal is to settle her in the crib rather than keeping picking her up so she learns it’s a safe space to sleep in, so shushing, rocking the crib, rocking her, getting close to her without picking her up so she feels secure, gently whispering that it’s time to sleep. If she’s properly crying this doesn’t work and I pick her up, but if it’s not if a fussing then after a while she tends to go to sleep. It can take 15-20 mins but better than the 2ish hours we were spending previously.

You’re not alone! So many nights I end up crying in fustration and tiredness desperately trying to remind myself it’s not his fault and he’s not doing it on purpose. Fingers crossed it’ll be over soon!
