So my nusery said we need to work on how my son holds a pen.
I have really tried, but son has absolutely no interest in arts and drawing. It keeps his attention for a few seconds and his done.
Does anybody have tips on how I can teach my boy how to hold a pen or how to make drawing and colouring more fun?

I'm a nursery worker and I wouldn't even worry about how he is holding a pen right now! He has just under 2 years until he goes to school which is a long time and even then they aren't worried about things like writing his name. They are more interested in them knowing their own name, being able to be independent with self care etc. For a child to be able to do small fine motor skills they need to have their gross motor skills as well. So things like throwing and catching, big arm movements like a painting a fence with water.
I'm happy to offer some activities if needed! X

Ah thank you thats a relief. I've been trying for and just not winning.
Im always open for activities, anything to help my boy

I don’t have any tips but wanted to day you’re not alone. I have a 3 year old boy and he has little interest in arts & crafts either, like your son it peas his interest for a few minutes then he’s bored of it. X
