So basically when our LO was newborn, she was griping a lot, constipated, and screaming out in pain
My husband had a milk intolerance when he was a baby so went to the doctors and they put us on Aptamil Pepti 1 Cows Allergy Formula.
Now that we are weaning, the HV told us to request a referral from doctors to a dietician/pediatrician to help us with introducing dairy or how to wean without.
Went to Doctors and they said, there is no medical reason for the referral as she hasnt had a reaction to dairy. Try her on some dairy first and then if she has a reaction we will refer you.
Also, my LO has not been drinking her bottles, she hasnt gained weight in a couple months and her nappies have recently not been very wet.
Doctor said that if she is weaning, give her water for meal times and feed her as much as she will accept. Don't just do 1x meal a day (she's 6 months 10 days)
So we've been feeding her 3x meals a day, I've introduced butter to her meals, I've been blending/pureeing potatoes, veg & meat with 90ml-120ml of formula for her meals and also giving her cucumber sticks which she's had since 5 months and slowly introducing different items.
Since we started blending our own puree, including butter and giving her water, her nappies have been wet which is great however, her poops have gone super grainy and thick but also watery/oily (Sorry for the gross pic)
Yesterday she pooped 4x times, and its also very mucusy.
Today she pooped twice within 15 minutes and I'm just worried that I'm making things worse.
Has anyone had this experience when weaning or had similar poos and what was the cause?
Should I cut out dairy and see if it changes or if this is normal push on with weaning?
I'm a very worried mama right now, dont want her to lose weight or be dehydrated
She's a happy baby still, not signs of unwell, just trumping a lot and sometimes crying when trumping which makes me think upset tummy.

I’m not 100% on whether the poop is normal, although id think it is due to the diet change. I’d say if you see her digestive system struggling with dairy milk, it may be best to use goat or alternative milks. I did this with my daughter and everything normalized. Also adding a small amount of blackstrap molasses to her diet daily helps tremendously with constipation. About a half teaspoon.
Hi all, does anyone have recommendations for a good nappy for nights? 3 month old is sleeping in good stretches but nappies can’t keep up. Tried Aldi and pampers and now on Sainsbury’s and they are great in day but not at night?! Thanks so much

How many times a month in the first year postpartum do you and your husband have sex? (Trying to figure out what the normal range is for partners with a baby!)

My three month old cries before every nap. He’s fine in the night when fed to sleep, but before every single day nap there is 5-25 minutes of crying. We follow wake windows as best we can but it doesn’t seem to matter whether he’s awake one hour or three hours!
Did anyone else have this, and has come out the other side?

If your partner didn’t force you to go to bed at a certain time, but got annoyed if you went to bed before he was ready or wanted to stay down for longer when he wants to go to bed, would that be considered controlling? Seeing as there’s no forcing involved just getting annoyed by it?

Hey! I’m really interested to hear people’s thoughts/experiences with swaddling for newborns? I’ve heard it’s supposed to be great to keep them relaxed etc but also was told yesterday it’s not a method that they use anymore which is completely new to me!! Any thoughts?

My baby girl is sleeping from 10-5:30/6:30. Just wondering if I should let sleep I try to wake her to feed but she has no interest in feeding.
She’s also reached well above her birth weight she was born 3.2kg and is bow 5.6kg.
I’m just concerned that the GP saying to still wake her for feeds was more of a developmental reason that a weight reason.
Has anyone else experienced this?
