Am I in the wrong for asking my husband to find a new job? He’s gone for weeks at a time trucking and I’m battling extreme postpartum while taking care of our 3 month old son without help. He’s been gone for 4 weeks already and last time he was gone for 7 before he came home. I asked him to start looking for something that’s local and will get him coming home more. I’m starting to resent him because I’m not getting help and his lift went unaffected by everything. He went back to work 3 weeks after I gave birth and it has been extremely difficult. Even getting out of bed is hard. I don’t want to stand in his way of success so I feel guilty but at the same time I need him more than ever right now.

I only read the first question and no, you're not wrong. You need him and it's not selfish to ask for help. And you definitely need him there at least for a month and a half, my baby is 2 months and my partner bearly found a local job but he saved up money to last long enough right after our baby was born. The difference was I had a scheduled induction at 36 weeks bc I had intrahepatic colestasis of pregnancy and diabetes. He had the chance to put his two week notice in on time. Right now you must be burnt out if its been like that since your baby was born.
If money is the issue maybe both getting local jobs could help, one work in the morning and the other in the afternoon, that way you both look after the baby if you don't want someone else watching the baby.

You are absolutely not wrong to feel that way and im so proud of you for speaking up on your behalf 👏🏽 I would definitely keep mentioning it even if it means showing hime some local jobs in the area and ensure him that it isnt a permanent thing just till u are healed especially because you need to feel great to take care of baby and everything else
