Does anyone have suggestions or advice?
For the last 4 days my baby has taken nothing but 30 minute naps. My question is if he’s only napping 30 minutes should I still follow a 2 hour wake window pattern?
He doesn’t seem to get sleepy until the 2 hour mark, but when I try to put him down for a nap it takes a really long time of fighting for him to fall asleep. Is the 2 hour wake windows making him over tired and only making the 30 minute naps continue? It seems like when I try to put him down earlier it only makes his schedule even worse. I just don’t really know what to do here.
Prior to these last 4 days I was so proud he was taking 2 hour naps and he was really consistent with sleeping and now it feels like a regression but not at the same time.

So my bany is 5 1/2 months and he only takes 30 min naps as well. I've learned with him ( every baby is different) that if its closer to 3 hrs maybe a little over he fights me less to take a nap but its still roughly 30 mins of a nap. I honestly think at this age they're adjusting to a different sleep schedule so that is why its like this right now. Mines sleeping is getting better and longer at night is why I say this.

Commenting to hear advice! Going through the same thing for the past month with my almost 5 month old. Some days I’ll get one hour nap and the rest 30 mins. Some days I only get 30 & I just extended his wake windows to 2 hours or more as well & nothing. Still fights me like his life depends on it 😩

My boy will take longer naps if they're contact naps, if I put him down they're 30 mins or less. So I've elected to just be nap trapped so he can get decent nap times, otherwise he's overtired at bedtime and false starts more in the beginning at night. Even with 30 minute naps he still does 2 hour wake windows, but we usually have to wind down for nap time a bit earlier because he starts getting fussy.
Honestly, download ChatGPT (it's free) and tell it what's going on and it can guide you better based on your specific baby. I found that really helpful when I'm at a loss of what to do with my boy

I’ve noticed in my 5 month old that it if I rock him, he only stays down for about30 minutes (my pediatrician says this is due to contact and he’s relying on me being there) so instead of rocking him, I put him straight in the crib once he’s showing signs of tiredness and he sleeps longer
