My baby is 11m, I really feel like she might need to drop to 1 nap but everything online says you shouldn’t drop before 1 year -
Current routine
Wake up - 6:30am (I wake her)
Nap 1 - 10am-11am (capped)
Nap 2- 3pm-4pm (capped)
Bedtime 8pm
Falling asleep indepently in cot most of the time, sometimes needing rocked to sleep
This had been working okay - still waking up at night 1-2 times for a breast but going straight back to sleep in her cot after,
however the last few weeks she won’t go down at bedtime and it’s taking 1+ hours to put her to sleep. Meaning her wake windows have been 3.5/4/5+ and bedtime is around 9pm, she also has been waking up slightly before 6:30am crying and doesn’t seem well rested - she’s only getting around 9.5hours sleep overnight
She can sleep for 2.5hours easy for naps if I let her so do I just drop to 1 nap and let her sleep?
Only problem is she really can’t manage much more than 4hours awake in the morning. But seems to be able to cope better in afternoon

I was capping my girls naps at 45mins each and she was sleeping just over 10hrs at night before I dropped her to 1 nap at 1 year old x

Hi there! I have a few clients this age that are actually on one nap and doing great! Based on what you shared I think she should do a 1 nap day. I would let her sleep until 7 am and try to push that first nap to 11 am, then let her sleep as long as she will. Waking her if she’s still asleep at the 2.5 hour mark. As she adjusts to the new schedule you’ll be able to shift that nap later.
