My 2.5 year old is currently still in his cot, but we are wanting to move him into his next bed. Would this be a floor bed? Can anyone recommend anything? Or tips on the transition 🙏🏼

My son's in a mid sleeper (although the rules say age is not appropriate ). I put an extra guard rail on it so he isn't able to roll out at all. It was for storage space and has worked a treat. Under bed storage/fun little tunnel. Two deep drawers and a shelf :)

My 2.5 year old is in a standard single bed, floor beds are known to harbour mould so honestly not worth the hassle 🤢

I have a single mattress on the floor. House gets well ventilated w me opening his windows and blinds up all the way every day so no mould under his mattress even though it’s on the carpet

We moved our girl into a single floor bed when she was one, we added a cot rail, then took the cot rail off just before Christmas. It was the best thing we did her quality of sleep massively improved.
We’ve never had a problem with mould, remember to just make your child’s room safe like attaching furniture to the wall, just Incase your child wakes up and you’re not in there.
We’ve also just took the 1 side cot rail off my 1 year old cot (it turns into a cot bed) we put the mesh cot side on it and she’s also sleeping soo much better
