Hubby is in the military

I'm self-employed and can work around my husband's schedule, I take clients mostly weekends and some weekday evening.
Grateful to be getting by!

Hubby is a HAVC-R tech
He’s the money maker and I manage the money. (I do the monthly budget & investing)
He also does side gigs for extra income

I have a part time job so it kinda helps.

Idek hubs a teacher 🤷🏽♀️

Hubby makes good money but it also helps that we share a house and the costs with his twin and their family also he has a company truck and I use his old paid off truck, So no car payments

It’s incredibly hard ngl lol I’m a stay at home mom simply because there’s no one to watch my daughter all day so I haven’t had time to go and finish my schooling because my partner is always out looking for work because the job market is in the toilet currently lol. It’s a surviving month to month type of gig right now, not for the faint of heart lol.

I’m asking myself the same question about how other people do it … I run a successful business full time , husband is full time as well and we still seem to have just enough

My husband got a big pay jump when he started a new job last year so I’m able to take some time off from working. We were DINKs before our daughter was born so we were able to save a lot of money then.

Drowning here but child is happy 🙃🙃

Hubby makes good money as a government contractor for the Navy. I chose to work part time to make myself some extra shopping money lol. But also before pregnancy I worked full-time and managed and invested so we were able to put a lot down on our house so our monthly mortgage is super cheap.

Budget Budget Budget. My wife is good at paying the bills. The rest is up to me....I'm a disciplined shopaholic. I love Clearance and good deals. We have 3 year old androids that were $130 and we don't buy random stuff. We try to eat at home 5 days at home...but our days are busy(taking care of dementia MIL) So like today we caved in🍔🥗 no drink.
I been out of work for almost 2 hrs SAHM and my wife quit her job to full-time take care of her mom. She gets paid. We have a $3k+ apt and 1 child. Without a plan and Budget we would be living paycheck to paycheck but we are ahead with some savings. We don't have any daily spending like Starbucks or the like. My kid takes swimming lessons and when in season soccer. I get my nails and pedi done once a month but I do my own hair. My clothes are not designer. My last pairs of shoes Nike were $22/$15 on black Friday. Some cleaning sprays I get from dollar tree.
I rather get my contacts or spending money for Amazon/shein than go to Target or Walmart. Will end up +$300

Bought a house in a cheaper city during the covid crash in 2020. We had no ac for 1.5 years but got through and fix it up when we can... or something breaks 🙃 Solar panels have saved us so much especially during the hot summers. Paying cash for certified used vehicles with low miles. 1 streaming service we occasionally rotate out plus a collection of dvds, no cable. Nursery is 90% thrifted. Eating out 1 or maybe 2 meals a week, shopping sales and meal planning around them. I rarely buy new clothes and when I do I shop mega sales/clearance for quality items that last, no salon trips - i cut my own hair and do my own nails, also dont wear daily makeup. Credit cards are paid off as soon as we make a purchase and only really use them for cash back opportunities, Chistmas is usually when we cash out on these. We live paycheck to paycheck but still add to savings for emergencies. I was laid off last year but most of my income was invested in stocks that make their own revenue and roll back over to increase profit.
