Return to work

Can I ask anyone that breastfeed on demand how many pumping sessions do you normally have on a working day? My employer asked this question for my return to work.

Maybe count how many times you feed your baby between the hours you'll be gone at work?. I would say it depends on how old are they, and how much they drink.

At 9 months you’re fine to offer food and water when apart and feed on demand when back together. So you’d only need to pump for comfort unless you wanted to supply bottles x

I’d say as many as you feel you can get away with tbh. If you’re at work for 8 hours, I’d say 3-4.

My 13 month old would feed every 2-3 hours until 1 when I started giving cows milk during the day instead of breastmilk

I pump 3x a day. I work from 9-5:30. I first pump 10AM, 1PM and 4PM.

Just go off when you would normally feed! If you’d normally do 3 feeds during the hours of your working day then do 3. They cannot prevent you from doing this, hoping they’re just being mindful for you x

For the breastfeeding moms

What drink should I choose instead of soda? I’ve been drinking a lot of soda and sometimes water, but I want something bubbly to drink while breastfeeding. I don’t like seltzer water or flavored versions. Please help me find a drink.

Anyone else's baby NOT sleeping through the night?

I would never have expected this, but I am seeing so many comments from mums saying that their baby sleeps through the night. It can't just be my baby who is waking up every 1-2 hours? Please say I am not alone...

Sleeping bags

My newborn hates a swaddle of the love to dream swaddle. So was thinking of a sleeping bag.

What tog do you have your baby in that is always a warm baby, rarely cold?
My girl runs hot all the time and normally has a thin blanket on but she is constantly moving so it gets kicked off

Regression struggles

My baby has woken up upwards of 8 times already tonight. Nothing works. I am mentally and physically exhausted. This is week 3 of this and every night is worst than the last. Feeding doesn’t work, rocking works until I try to lie him down, co sleeping doesn’t work. He has a dummy but cannot keep it in his mouth so I have to hold it in. I tried to take it away a few nights ago but he screamed for 3 hours until I gave in.

All day all I think about is how horrific night time will be. I don’t enjoy any of being a mum as I’m consumed by how exhausted I am and how this will only get worse.

What time are you guys going to bed?

We go to bed at like 11ish, and baby goes same time as us so I will feed him right before lights out and he’ll go to sleep in the next to me at same time as us. But some people are putting their babies down much earlier - how and why do you do that ? Do you then go to bed that early too? What about breast feeding?
