Early scan

Pregnant with my second baby and I’m 5+5 according to my last period. I had a scan today and the woman said there was an area that looks like it could be an early pregnancy but didn’t really try to look properly or even measure the sac. Had my HCG drawn too which came back at 1262, going to be checked again on Friday then another scan on Wednesday if it’s rising normally.

Does anyone have any experiences like this? I’m really starting to worry

I had a scan at 5 weeks 2 days and you can see the sac and the yolk just about forming. My hcg was 1163
Got told that’s fine for that stage and going back for a scan on Monday

My midwife reassured me with mine and said so much changes during the early stages, she had cases where she'd see nothing one day and something the next. 5+5 is super early, I was warned at 7 weeks there's a chance they'd see nothing, so keep your chin up duck 💕

I had a scan at what I thought was 6w but I was measuring under 5w5d so they said to go back. Potentially you ovulated later than ‘normal’ ?

You could have ovulated late. I know the exact dates i conceived and it was still dated a few days later. I wouldn’t worry, hcg sounds good and pregnancy is in the correct place. If the sac is small they wouldn’t bother investigating really as they most probably wouldn’t see anything / a heartbeat anyway so it would result in a repeat scan x

I think often it's a bit earlier on then we think. With my daughter's early scan, I thought I was 7 weeks going by last period and it was more like early on 6 weeks and there was not really much to see, they could just about confirm pregnancy from memory

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!

Owlet

Anyone else’s owlet pi##ing them off ?!?! It goes off 5/6 a night saying it can’t get a reading and needs a snug fit. My baby is 8 months old so moves a lot. It is driving me insane and I keep end up taking it off!!
