Hello, just a frustrated mum here wondering if anyone else’s partner is the same 😅 Im currently on mat leave until June, I don’t get any free time to myself unless its once a month to get my nails done for an hour (which has to be scheduled way in advance).
My partner works 6 days a week, so we only really have Sunday together, he wants to play golf but i’ve said playing every week is unfair as he doesn’t get to see our little girl in the week so thats our day together. So he plays every other weekend. He also gyms about 5 times a week and if something messes that up he gets in abit of a mood about it. When i said to him about me never having time to myself he said i do when shes in bed. Is that an actual joke 😂
He is a good dad but i just feel like men don’t seem to understand our job is 24/7 and it just frustrates me. This was just for me to rant really so anyone else is welcome to join 😂😂

Yes. I think a lot of men will do what they can get away with. You need to explain that parenting is everyday and if you werent here he would have to work and do all of it.
Besides that… i say teamwork makes the dreamwork. And, if someone on the team is expressing a need or desire … the other party needs to help come up with a plan that is mutually beneficial. Id be scheduling me time in addition to my nail time….especially since he gets him time… golf time. I say one day is golf day, the next free day is your day… and the next maybe family day… until he works with you and yall are flexible and feel u both are contributing and getting what you need. You especially need to get him on board before your maternity ends.
My husband works 4 days 12 hrs and goes to the gym 5 days for 2 hrs. Today he took baby so i could sleep several hours. Oh

Solidarity, you're definitely not alone!
I once asked my partner when I was going to have "me" time and he replied I get it every day whilst the baby contact naps and feeds off me. I almost bit his head off!
I read that new dads assume they are free (for social events and the like) unless they are told otherwise whereas new mums assume they are busy (watching the baby/babies) unless they are explicitly told/know childcare has been sorted. It makes me kinda sad to think about tbh!

I always say, men often want to have a kid, not to be a father. They are completely different things…

It’s a very common issue. They feel they deserve a break because they go to work and make money. But what they can’t seem to get is they get to clock out and come home and relax. We don’t get a time clock to clock out. I don’t get a lunch break. Or to clock out my brain even if I’m not home for an hour grocery shopping. It’s hard to understand for them for some reason.
11 day old newborn&2 year old. Recovering from c section.
Am i crazy for sending my cousins away after they showed up at 10am expecting to be let in my house ?
They don’t know what kind of night we had , we could’ve been at a doctors appointment, mind you , anyone else that has come to visit us, has either texts or called to see when would be best. Like normal people.
Not even an hour before they showed up , I just got my husband to sleep after taking care of me all night, who brought our toddler to nap with him because he was also up. I just got my newborn down and quiet in her crib , which almost never happens. And I ran to the store to grab bandages for myself because my c section scar is ripping open. I planned on coming home to shower and rebandage and sleep too. Came home to find them in my driveway. I sent them home (balling my eyes out) , and now I’m once again the crazy person being talked about in my family. …
Please tell me if I was wrong.

My daughter started Reception this September, and it seems like they watch one or two cartoons every day. One is usually *Numberblocks*, but the other changes—sometimes it’s *Bluey*, sometimes *Zog*...I’m not too happy about this, but I don’t know if it’s common for schools to use cartoons for various reasons. I wouldn’t want to be the only mom complaining 😅

I have a daughter who will be 2 in December and I have been holding it together this whole time well yesterday I cracked. I needed to go to the dmv I asked my partner if he could take me so he could help with our daughter. I don’t have a car but he does. I never ask him to get me anywhere I figure it out and this is why. He comes in that morning and says oh about the dmv I was thinking you could just uber. Ok fine but I needed help with the baby but whatever. It was a nightmare she was screaming bloody murder nothing would calm her down. Everyone in there is irritated with me. I couldn’t navigate the stroller in the lines because they were really narrow. I could calm her down I tried everything. I walked out the door and I can usually just push through and I just cry at night but I couldn’t. I broke down. I cried I tried to call my sister but she was hanging out with my aunt and couldn’t talk. I had nobody else to call and she is still just crying. It took me close to an hour to calm her down. I told my partner and he was just like yeah last time I went to the DMV this guy behind me was getting on my nerves. I just can’t keep doing this alone. But then everybody needs me to help them but when I need help nothing. It’s frustrating but I have to because at the end of the day other than my daughter nobody cares about me. And that’s sad. But I just have to keep pushing through.

Hi people. I can’t stand my man since having my baby. He has nowhere near met my expectations of how he should help and trust me, I’m not too demanding. He’s not changed one nappy, one outfit, doesn’t wake up for night feeds. All I ask is when its early morning close to time he gets up for work to just give a fricking bottle and let me catch up on sleep and he says he’s got work. He is a provider and chooses to work his second job on weekends so we basically have a day a week as a family. I literally hate this man now, have NO desire to have sex and don’t even want to stay faithful. I know I should just leave but my baby is so young and I really didn’t want this for myself. It’s a hard pill to swallow that this is my current situation…

We really want to potty train our little girl, however she won’t go when she sits on the potty 🧐 she enjoys sitting on the potty however she won’t let herself wee when sitting on it. Any tips would be really appreciated!
