Bath time hell!

Hi ladies just wondering you can help?

Out of nowhere, my daughter has started hating bath time. She used to love it, but now she just stands up, refuses to sit in the water, and screams. The water temperature is perfect, nothing’s changed in her routine, and she hasn’t had any bad experiences. She still has her bath toys, and we always play some music to make it fun, but the last few baths have been a struggle. I’ve had to get in with her just to get her a little clean, and she ends up sobbing on my lap while I try to wash her with a flannel. 😞
She has eczema, so we don’t bathe her too often, but occasionally she needs one to help remove the flakey skin that makes her itchy.
Has anyone else dealt with something similar? How have you managed it?
My husband thinks it might just be that she’s too tired after nursery and isn’t in the mood for it, but she gets so upset, and I’m worried she might start developing a fear of water. I just want to figure out how to make bath time easier for both of

My daughter has started to do the same. She used to love baths and never wanted to get out, over the last few weeks she cries as soon as she gets in them and I can’t work it out as nothing has changed

What about trying a different time of day?

We had this out of the blue but it was a few months ago. I started getting in with her and then over a few days gradually moving her from my lap into the water whilst holding her hands. It lasted about 5 days and then she got over it

My daughter went through this. Lasted a couple of weeks, I just accepted dipping her in the water and giving her a flannel wash.

Let her be and kept talking about the bath. Now she's loving bubbles and can't get her out of the bath.

Around here she usually loves bath as well, but when she is too tired there's nothing she wants to do and will cry loads to have a bath, but she will do the same during dinner time and anything else we try to do before we give her milk to go to bed...

Hiya, we had the exactly the same with our little boy not long ago. We didn’t force it, we allowed him to stand but made sure we were both there so he didn’t fall, we put lots of toys in the bath and a bath mat down stop slipping incidents. We would model playing with the toys and wait for a while - eventually he sat down to play for a moment and we praised him. He got out soon after and we had to repeat this process for a few times before eventually he seemed to just get over his fear and he is back to loving a bath again. Hopefully it’s just a phase and will pass for you too soon enough 🤞 good luck momma xx

Cosatto next to me crib

I have the cosatto next to me crib. It states that the mattress is 78cm x 44cm but I'm struggling to find sheets to fit it.
Has anyone else got this and can recommend any sheets please? Thankyou 😊

RANT - Health Visitor complaint

I’ve just had the health visitor over for my 7 week old sons 6/8 week check and was wondering if this is ok or should I report this to save the next person who might not be as strong?

Baby boy was crying when she arrived and told me he sounds like he’s in pain, but had no suggestions on what to do and asked me if I still love him when he cries like that. She then asked me to list ‘3 reasons why i love my son’ and just sat staring at me until i answered - I was so on edge I couldn’t answer and she just raised her eyebrows at me and moved on. Asking me all extreme depression / mental health questions and going on and on and then watched over me why I filled in a depression chart.
Then told me I’m making bad habits by holding him when he sleeps, she’s the only midwife i’ve ever come across who has that option of a 7 week old baby? And then said if I continue to go to him when he cries he’ll learn that he can cry to get what he wants so told me to leave him to cry it out which goes against ALL advice online for this age?!

We are at our most vulnerable that we will probably ever be in our entire life postpartum. We will never forget the way people treat us. Postnatal depression is REAL. Imagine the next woman she says this too doesn’t cope with having those things said to her?

Mum's some advice, please!

My little boy is 18 months old, I'm currently 7 weeks pregnant and having to use progesterone pessaries to help with my pregnancy. I've read it can lessen your milk supply and he only feeds during the night, his sleep has become progressively worse these last few nights, he's waking up almost every 40 mins at max 1hr and half crying and won't settle till he's with me and wants boob. The morning sickness is in full swing and I feel the very little sleep isn't helping. He's never slept through the night and has always had a few night wakes but they are getting worse.
Do you think it could be my milk supply? Has anyone else been through anything similar? Are there things you tried/done that's helped?
I've seen the bedtime creams all over tiktok, does it actually work?

Breastfeeding

Really struggling with breastfeeding my 4 day old so looking for advice.

She will latch onto the breast but I don’t think she’s getting much. She’s never ever satisfied and will fall to sleep pretty instantly when on me. She has also made my nipples incredibly sore so feeding is really painful.

She’s doesn’t even seem like she’s swallowing anything. There’s definitely milk there now and it will fine out even when I touch my breasts.

I’ve been doing lots of skin to skin, stripping her down and changing her nappy to keep her awake ect. I’ve tried nipple shields which make it more uncomfortable and use nipple cream constantly which gives a little bit of relief.

I’ve been doing a mixture of formula because of how sore I am whilst waiting for my breast pump to come.

Feel like I’m failing and so close to just giving up with it as she’s just never properly settled after the breast.

Please please any advice or tips or anything would be really appreciated x
