Does anyone else have it? I was diagnosed this week at 27 weeks.
What are your go to meals / snacks please?
And main meals / lunches?
Thank you 🙏🏼🙏🏼

I’ve been diagnosed since 24 weeks - I’m now 31 weeks today. It’s super common - something like 1 in 20 pregnant women have it! So you’re not alone ☺️
If you only just been diagnosed, my biggest advise is to not change your diet completely at first, as something that spikes one persons sugars may not spike yours. To start with you need to learn what you can tolerate. Things I would limit are white carbs or obviously sweet things white bread, cake, chocolate, cereal. However it’s super important that you still have carbs within your meals otherwise you’ll feel awful. They advise no more than a fistful portion, but again it just depends what you can tolerate. Also pairing carbs with protein really helps or going for a walk after your meal if you feel like it was carb heavy.
Basically, your first week is trial and error. See how you get on and adjust where you need to. You got this☺️

I was diagnosed with it about a month ago and haven't really changed my diet too much. I've just swapped white bread for wholemeal and keep making sure that I have protein with every meal. I've had to cut back on biscuits and chocolates etc but definitely don't feel like I'm hungry or restricting myself too much. X

Me too! I haven't changed my diet much at all, I've cut down from two sugars in my tea to one, I've been eating more nuts and I've stopped having oranges and started having berries instead.

Thanks both 🙏🏼 I have a group meeting on Tuesday so hopefully they'll educate us more. But picking up a shop with lots of wholemeal stuff today, amd like you say, cutting white bread , and chocolate (so sad about that!!)
Do you have to test your blood?

How did you get tested later on in pregnancy? Were you experiencing symptoms?
Currently pregnant with my second and have a 2 year old. Is 2 kids tired different than pregnant tired? I am exhausted all of the time 😫

Hi everyone. My daughter is 13 months old and I have her via c section last August due to failure to progress. Everything else was fine apart from that. My son is 10 and I had a c section with him too. I want to start trying for another baby next year and would really love to hear if anyone had any positive stories about a vbac after 2 c sections x

I’m exactly 31 weeks with twins and since last night my tail bone and ribs and random cramps (I can’t find a pattern in them but I am in so much pain in general I am struggling to tell what’s caused by what) have been so painful. I thought I’d be able to sleep it off like I do most things but it’s remained.
Babies are moving around so I know they’re okay but I’m not sure if I need to get checked? I’m already dealing with a kidney blockage that can’t be fixed til I give birth so I’m not sure if it’s that or not

I’m 11+5 and I self refered at 6 weeks. My midwife appointment went well at 9 weeks but I still haven’t heard anything from the hospital 😬 should I get in touch with them? It’s a hospital I’ve not been to before so I don’t know how last minute they can be but it’s making me super anxious that I haven’t heard yet 🫣

I am 11+4 and woke up this morning with quite a bit of pink watery bleeding. I would not call this spotting as had quite a bit. Have some very mild cramping with it.
Currently sitting in the maternity hospital waiting to be seen and need some support

Our little ones are turning one soon and I’m not okay! 😭
I don’t know what to do for my son’s birthday. Naturally, he doesn’t have friends (except a cashier at Tesco 😅) and none of our friends have children.
I want to do something for his birthday but likewise he won’t remember it so I don’t really want to spend an arm and leg on it.
We are thinking of taking him to the aquarium (perks of being a winter baby - everything has to be indoors) and I’m going to make him a cake but what else can I do to make it special for him?
I wanted to decorate the lounge with balloons and streamers but I have double height ceilings so it’s impossible 😅
What can I do to make it special for him without throwing a party for a bunch of child- free adults 😅😅
