My LO will not sleep in her bassinet at all. It’s driving us insane. Please any tips? We’ve done all the things, tried different swaddles, breastmilk, my t-shirt, we use the heating pad to warm it up. Nothing - she refuses.
The part that I struggle with the most is that a week ago she did 3 nights in a row where she would sleep 2-3 hours at a time in the bassinet. Then she stopped. Now she will
Barely be in there 20 min without crying.
We’ve put her in drowsy and fully asleep and still she awakens. Please help?? I’m half tempted to pay tons of money to buy a smart bassinet - if it will help?

In the same boat. Just switched formula as I’m thinking it might be acid reflux. She has been spitting up quite a bit and will only last on bassinet a couple of minutes until she starts crying. However she can sleep for hours while being held.

Currently in same situation , ive tried the heating pad trick , he wants to be held and skin to skin . Im so tired and i dont trust myself to cosleep hes still so tiny

I was in a similar situation, what worked for us was the Dreamland weighted sleep sack. It’s like a weight blanket, but for babies. It’s a bit pricey, but we were gifted one and I was able to find a brand new one on FB marketplace for $30 so we could have a second one. He’s now sleeping in his bassinet and for longer stretches!

When yall transfer him do you start with feet then slowly work your way up? I do that and then put my hand on his chest and one on his feet shushing really loudly and slowly decreasing pressure. If he flinches then I pause my hands and hold a bit longer. If he doesn’t settle I pick him up again and calm him then re-attempt but he’d have been sleep for 10-25mins at this point

Have you tried a sound machine it solved my problem

I don’t have any advice because it sounds like you’re already doing everything right. But I will say, my two friends who have a Snoo bassinet (the pricey one I assume you’re referring to), both had a lot of trouble with their babies sleeping in it. So I’m not sure if it’s worth it.

We do the bath, bottle, bed method.
We start with a bath and warm his dry towel up with a heating pad while we're bathing him. Then we feed him and while we're feeding him we have his onesie on the heating pad so it can be nice and warm. After feeding him half his bottle we then lotion him up with bedtime lotion and dress him in his warm onesie.. then we give him the other half of his bottle and cuddle him. Once he's knocked out sleep we wait at least 15 mins before transferring him to his bassinet.
It's different for every baby, but for OURS, if he's in deep sleep he won't wake up after being put down.. so we know that if he does wake up then he's not all the way sleep. That's why we cuddle with him for at least 15 mins before.

I hear you! We just tried a co-sleeping bassinet (not in continuity with our bed so no risks) and it worked at the first attempt! The baby can always see you and reaching him/her with your hand if needed does the magic :)

He's 2 months old
I’m going alittle crazy! My ebf 11 week old for the past 3 weeks will only poop every 6 days. Brought it up to the pediatrician and I’ve done everything they told us to do. Bicycle kicks, tummy rubs, rectal temp check, warm baths and even a suppository. He is very low on the percentile like 9% so I feel like he isn’t holding on to the milk and about day 4 he is so uncomfortable. We took him to the ER Saturday and they did a xray and just told us he had gas. Went to a follow-up peds appointment and they started him on liquid Pepcid due to possible silent reflux. He burps & farts during/ after feeds. We give mylicon or gripe water for the gas discomfort which helps sometimes. I have a feeling this isn’t normal especially when he used to poop everyday.
Pic so we don’t get lost

I have a load of leftover products either unopened or only used once, it seems a shame to throw them away any ideas what I can do with them? I don’t have any friends expecting or likely to get pregnant soon and I guess most places wouldn’t take them as donations? Based in London.

Does anyone have any tips on how to stop milk leaking? After pumping I’ll put on a nipple pad but it gets soaked up and I leak through my tops/pyjamas.
Does anyone have any nipple pad recommendations? At the moment I’m just using the Boots own make.

A silly remark from another mum at a toddler group has got my head frazzled and I’m now feeling concerned. I would love some advice from other mums on what you think of this situation.
My little boy has just turned 2 last month, he’s extremely sociable, we’ve gone to classes since he was around 2 weeks old and see’s other kids at nursery. We also have a huge family and friendship network with a lot of kids around his age.
He’s always been quite quick with his milestones, his talking is amazing for his age. He’s got a real interest in book, letters, numbers and shapes etc.
He now counts to around 30, he can tell you the full alphabet and can point to letters/numbers when jumbled up and still identify. He’s great with shapes and colours too. I just genuinely thought this was pretty standard. He’s always just shown a keen interest in learning through play! We play with his tuff tray a lot and I incorporate a lot of learning skills ie literacy and maths into this while still having fun.
Anyways, we were at a group and another mum was listening to him chat away and I asked him to spell his name, he’s been doing this now while pointing to letters and spelling it out (it’s on his bedroom wall) and now he doesn’t need to see the letters to spell it as he’s got it in his memory. She approached and asked his age etc and literally asked if I had concerns of autism. I was shocked if I’m honest.
Later in the group one of the members got out his favourite book, he reads it most days at nursery and at home. We love the book therefore he knows what’s coming in the story and as the lady was reading my little boy decided to join in and was telling her what’s coming next. The same lady from earlier was sat next to me and make a snide remark, not a compliment and went ‘wow brainy eh’.
When we’re in supermarkets and he see’s the numbers above the aisles he likes to point them out. Or if we see a car parked he likes to tell me the entire reg plate. Is this a fixation or is it just an interest?
This has me so confused.
Can I have opinions please 🥲
