Has anyone turned their child’s car seat yet? I think we are going to this weekend. What drove your decision to if you have already?

I purchased the 360 car seat last year and I didn’t turn it until she really started getting aggravated cause she couldn’t see nothing

It's illegal to turn forward facing before 2. You should really look into internal decapitation and where the body is at, at this age developmentally. There is no need to rush this process. They are safer rear facing until they max out rear facing limits. Why are you trying to do this right now?

It’s honestly safer to keep them rear facing past the age of 2. It doesn’t matter if there legs are basically in the air it’s still safer than forward facing.

I’m not doing it until 2.5 minimum. Child is safest rear facing. I don’t care how uncomfortable he is, the safer the better. Children’s bones are mostly still cartilage at this age and not actual bone. Thus no protection for the spinal cord

We haven't yet, but unless we can somehow find a reasonably priced larger car we will have to this July as my car is too small to have two rear facing seats. He's 92% for height and 89% for weight so he is already in the "can be forward", but "should be rear facing" and I want to keep him rear facing as long as possible.

The whole internal decapitation thing has prevented me from doing it. My mom worked in insurance for over 35 years… I’ve heard too many horror stories. I plan to keep them rear facing as long as I can. Some car seats have foot extensions too.

Im going to try and hold out until 5 years old. 😬😅

The goal is to have your child rear facing for as long as they can. Until they max out in either the weight or height requirements, but you shouldn’t before then!
My little boy (white/black Caribbean) has almost two hair textures, he has quite loose soft curls at the front but then an almost Afro texture in the back which goes wild. I use the only curls products for kids (shampoo, conditioner, detangle spray and styler) but after he sleeps it just goes crazy. It’s super knotty at the back so he doesn’t tolerate any brushing/combing - I only just manage with a fight when it’s wet.
Any tips on handling the back section? Heavy products don’t seem to work well given how soft it is in the front.

Anyone get their son a baby doll? Did they love it?
Thinking of getting mine one for christmas as he's gravitated towards one a couple of times at a toddler group. For context my son will be 18 months, nearly 19 months at Christmas.

My little one is 2y 2m old. She has just all of a sudden stopped napping. Nursery told me they spend half hour with her and she won't sleep and same at home. I'm really worried nursery will stop trying. But she just will not settle down at all all of a sudden. Help please. It's way too early for her to drop the nap!

My baby is really congested overnight. She’s always congested - but particularly more snorty after a bottle of Kendamil. She’s primarily breast fed with one bottle of formula a day in the afternoon. Her poops are also explosive and look like this. Does this look like CMPA, so sorry for the photo! Two first poops from two different mornings. Will add the second to the comments.

Can I put a car seat in the front passenger seat for travelling with my baby?! He hates the car and just cries if he’s in the back by himself. I have family 4 hours drive away and I have to do the travel alone most of the time. It’s so stressful and exhausting trying to entertain him and I can’t just let him cry. How do you travel with a baby who hates the car? 😩

She’s 14 weeks. Yesterday we decided to try putting her to bed at 8pm (she usually just comes with us at around 10/11). So we bathed, boobed and transferred to bed by 8. We kept the room dark and she slept there for an hour before waking up. I then took her back with me but she continued sleeping until 11. Woke up at 11, had her nappy changed. All happy as can be. Then slept until 3. Breastfed. Nappy changed at 5. Breastfed. Slept until 7, breastfed. Still asleep now at 11am?
Is this normal? She’s still having wet nappies, feeding, etc. should I wake her? She started trying to roll to her front yesterday, so idk if she’s just tired from the workout 😅
