Overwhelm of presents

Little boy got so many presents for his bday (I mean not even that many compared to some, but still lots). Some pressies were got were doubled up - what do you guys do with everything? Where is it stored? Do you ever sell if you have been given two of things?

I have toys downstairs and in his bedroom so that splits it a bit

I put anything that is too old or advanced for him in a cupboard then I don’t have to buy all year round

Duplicates go to my mums cause she has him once a week

I try and clear out as many younger toys and donate those to charity or friends with younger babies. For instance we don’t have any sensory type toys anymore

We would sell or regift if we knew a child had a birthday etc coming up. Thankfully for his birthday we told everyone to get him clothes and no toys because he got LOADS at Christmas x

We got our little guy soft play. But he's had so much from friends and family thankfully a chunk of clothes and others are books and bath toys. He still has 10 presents to open but he fell asleep on the car journey home from his party and 5 and he's been asleep since ( pray for me )

Toys are downstairs though we have this from Dunelm - Faux Linen Rectangular Ottoman | Dunelm https://share.google/UiM2BbldMmONSmSr5

Then his bigger toys just sit outside it.

I would regift, sell or donate the duplications ( maybe a mother and baby shelter ) or another house he regularly goes too x

Any doubles or just anything I feel he has too much off goes round my mums or my mil so he has toys wherever he goes. Anything else that I feel is too advanced or if we just don’t have space for it I’ll put it away and swap it around in a couple months. We got quite a lot of toys that’ll be good for outside in the summer so they’ve gone in to storage for now and then anything else is either charity shop or regifted to any of my friends or people that have younger children

We have left a double of something at in laws house for our eldest so we don't need to take as many toys when we go visit so thats one idea. I wouldn't keep duplicates of anything in my house though. I like the trofast storage from IKEA for storing toys in our house.
