Anyone else in the middle of house renovation while pregnant? How are you coping with the stress ? And all the dust everywhere all the time. We hit a snag and some of our planned work got delayed so now we are going to be in a rush to finish before baby comes and I can't help but stress. I'm 32 weeks pregnant now so I can't really help out anymore which is eating me up inside because I hate feeling so helpless. And what if the baby decides to come early and arrives into this mess? I feel like I've unintentionally ended up like an episode of Grand Designs 😂 except our designs are not that grand! I know stress is not good for the baby but it has honestly become my natural state at this point, I'm worried about everything. 😭

If it makes you feel any better we had a similar thing happen when my first was born, plans got held up and we ended up having an argument with our builders who left us with 4 unfinished walls a moat across the front of our house a hole where our front door should have been. We used a plank of wood to get in and out and had to pack gaps with sheets to secure the front door, luckily we had an internal door but it wasn't well insulated. I then got covid in a heatwave( it was 2021) and my husband accidentally put the wrong fuel in his car and we ended up selling both cars once it was fixed. All our last bit of money went on trying to sort the cars, get a new one and sort out 1 bedroom as a nursery. Baby came just as I started to feel better from covid in between all of this. We managed to get replacement builders when baby was 3 months and I would spend a lot of time back and forth from my parents house if it was too dusty or in the 1 room that was done. It wasn't ideal but it was doable if that gives you hope.

Just to add circumstances have made it that we had a surprise pregnancy this time and builders have been booked in for March to do phase 2 of our renovations. They were booked before we even knew we were pregnant. This baby is due in June and I'm really hoping we don't end up in exactly the same position 🙈

I feel you on this! I’m literally in the same position, 28.5 weeks now, house is in full renovation state, dust is somehow everywhere. I’m usually a bit of a clean freak so it’s driving me insane 😂. My coping strategy has been shopping cute little things and outfits for the baby and doing small little jobs to feel like I’m helping out (painting, supervising and making cups of coffee for husband whilst he’s working lol). As stressful as it is, I’m sure you’ll feel so relieved when it’s all done and your house is in a state you’re pleased with before the baby arrives 🤞🏽😊
Anyone else had a backache and sore boobs at almost 38 weeks? I’m hoping it’s the start of labour and my waters or something go soon I’m so uncomfortable and the thought of another week and half is just too much ( my elective is booked bur I don’t mind going earlier if Labour happens naturally )

So I’m only 11 weeks as of Friday and I’m just already excited to meet my baby though I know it’s still so far off. I have my son already and since I’ve had a baby before I feel like I’m less scared this time since I know what to expect and am just more excited. I also keep seeing tiny newborns when I’m out and about and I’m like omg they are so cute and tiny I can’t wait to hold mine lol. Anyone feeling this already? Anyone also on their second baby? I know the gender and we already have his name so it just feels so real already
