Balancing act

Hi girls, anyone else pregnant with their second in 1st trimester, feel like they are actively dying whilst trying to simultaneously work a full time job and be present and spend as much time with your 18 month old as possible?

Currently trying to do with whilst buying a house and strugggling! Just want to spend as much time with my 18 month old as possible without throwing up 😭

Hiya, I have an 18 month old and am 32 weeks pregnant so nearing the end! The first trimester is hard - so be kind to yourself. Your toddler wont remember if there's a few weeks where you aren't as present. On the days I felt good I'd spend time sorting activities for the days I felt worse so it was easier - lots of arts and crafts things where she'd happily sit in her high chair to do them so I could run to and from toilet and know she was safe etc. Book corners where I could just sit with her and read, hand eye coordination activities that required her to concentrate for a bit 🤣🫠

Second trimester was loads better - I had more energy and I am so much fitter this pregnancy - I think from running around after her.

Third trimester has been really rough so far. I'm feeling exhausted trying to juggle it all. I am trying to remind myself it's all temporary and she's much better at independent play so I'm relying on that 🙏

Sneak peak gender test

Do any of you mamas have any experience with the sneak peak gender test? I'm roughly around 8-9 weeks with my 2nd and am considering having it done at my OB appointment tomorrow if it is offered. I only have experience with the NIPT, which was accurate for my son so this will be my 1st time having it done. Was it accurate for you mamas & how long did the results take to come back? 🤍

NHS app

I downloaded NHS app to see if I can see my test results on there and it only gives me the option for GP test results not hospital ones.. as my badger app is still not getting updated I’m going to make a complaint to pals I think it’s a joke I had my diabetes test Monday and still have no results 🤦🏻‍♀️

Bump to head..

I was lying down breastfeeding, trying to get my arm in a comfortable position when the phone fell out of my hand and fell into the back of my baby’s head. She startled and then did the most awful cry 😩 I managed to comfort her after a few minutes and then she carried on feeding and is now asleep but my anxiety has me spiralling. She’s 13 weeks old, I can’t tell if there is a bump (I don’t think there is) and it didn’t fall from a height or with any great force. It would have scared and hurt her a bit…I just feel really bad. She’s going to be okay, isn’t she?

Anxiety before baby arrives

I'm a FTM due early November and I'm starting to feel really anxious the closer it gets to baby being here. Theres a lot of different things going on in my personal life which are stressing me out, I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes a few weeks ago and get stressed whenever I have a high reading, and I'm anxious just thinking about how much my life will change once baby is here. I don't know what to do as family and friends don't really understand and I'm not sure if my midwife can help. Feeling stuck - if anyone know how to help.

This September baby is taking its sweeeet time to come.

I'm sooo impaicient haha. I have another 10 days but I'm like hurry up already.

Ive been having fake painful contractions for 2 weeks. Been loosing mucus plus for 1 week. I was convinced she would be here by now.

I'm hoping she isn't an October baby!
