I’m looking for some crafts / potential business ideas I can do with a newborn. I currently crochet but I’m not sure how well that will go down with a baby. I’ve tried my hand at selling crochet items but that didn’t work out/ I didn’t really know what I was doing.
What sort of crochet items sell? I kind of want to make baby blankets or items and just sell the finished products rather than take custom orders 😅

It depends on where you want to sell them. If you are looking at Etsy, something to keep in mind is that a lot people dropship now which unfortunately is killing small businesses, so I would check the competition and decide if it's worth it. Someone buying from Temu and reselling can afford to put down a lower price you many not want to compete with. The good thing is there are now a lot of platforms you can use to dig into what keywords sell and how much for. If you make your own patterns I would consider selling them and/or kits, it is becoming quite popular for people to get into crafts now and they are quicker to put together.
If looking at local craft fairs, you will need to get out there and see for yourself. It will be different from area to another.

I personally believe that things will sell if your get the right market (sounds terrifying at first!)
But first of all there's no harm in always trying to better yourself by starting a little business!
I help new start ups, normally mums who are looking for extra income to try stay home more with their babies ☺️
If you want any guidance! Just drop me a DM I can help by being a sound board for you!
Hope it takes off for you 🩵💙

I think it really depends on how far/what you're aiming for, I think everything can seem a bit out of reach when you first start to look into it 🫣
As I said if you do decide you want to just do some blue sky thinking with me
I can tell you the ins and outs of stuff before you even make a decision x

For this type of support? I do not,
If it's just a mum wanting to put her cards on the table and see if it would work for them to sell their items then definitely not.
As a mum of 2 young boys I know how hella tight money can be!
If a mum contacts me with a full blown idea and ready to hit the ground running with a business idea, they need 121 support launching etc then yes I would change (as that's my small business)

Yeah exactly! It's ridiculous if I'm honest, I couldn't stand to support new mums and then ask them to pay 🙄
It's just not in my morals as a person or business if I'm honest

They craft fairs! Go along to a few fist and then when you have a good selection made up apply for your own stall.
I used to make baby blankets, baby mobiles and booties. The blankets were a hit.
You could open shop on Etsy but they charge 18% atleast in fees and there’s a lot of competition.
I would make your own insta and fb page, set up a QR code on some stationary with discounts and head to the craft fairs! Good luck!

Yeah you will need to pay to get a table for your stock, is that what you mean? Some have a small entry fee too for shoppers. This is common practice to cover the expenses for running the event.
My 2 year old keeps waking up at 5am and is cranky and tired enough that she wants to go back to sleep but needs lots of cuddles. But because by this point sleep pressure is low she’s takes over an hour to resettle and fall back to sleep. By this point my alarm is going off 6:15am for work 😖😩
She used to wake up nicely around 7am and we’d all be a lot calmer and have breakfast together but now I’m either letting her sleep in a bit so she’s not over tired and there’s always a big rush to get out the door.
Any tips?
She goes to bed at 8-8:30pm naps around 1pm for 1h-1h:30m

I’m trying to get my mind right, trying to find something to take my mind off this got feeling I’m having that something just isn’t right and when I have this feeling I’ve never been wrong. And I just want to not think about what it could possibly need cause I know once I find out it will not be pleasant. How do you shake your worries and this gut feeling?

Hi moms!
How are your babies sleeping, especially those under 3 months?
My almost 8-week-old baby sleeps for hours in my arms, on my chest, or in the carrier, even while I’m moving around doing chores. But the moment I transfer him to his bassinet, he starts grunting, wiggling, and wakes up and starts crying.
I can spend up to 2 hours trying to get him to nap in his bassinet, and he still doesn’t fall asleep. By then, his next feeding is already coming up, and he hasn’t napped at all! 😩
At night, he sleeps much more peacefully when we bed-share. I’ve also noticed that he’s calm and quiet on my chest but much noisier and more restless in his bassinet.
I’d love to hear your real-life experiences!
What actually helped your baby sleep in their bassinet? Do you use a special swaddle, a particular type of bassinet, or any tricks to make the transfer easier?

Anybody else 2 month old sleep through the night? She has her last bottle at about 8 and then doesn’t wake until 5am anybody else similar?

When should I get worried that my son is showing little interest in crawling? He’s 8 months old? He’s great and sitting and has just started spinning when he sits but will refuse to go on his tummy.

I’m a first time mom and my newborn is about 4 weeks now and began being fussy and just about inconsolable around 2 weeks. Most days he doesn’t nap or sleep at all during the day and is crying just about all day. I can’t put him down without him crying & if i’m lucky on the days he does nap he’s down for about 2-3 hours. I was told newborns sleep most of the day and have “wake windows” but mine doesn’t at all. He’s fed, changed & burped but will cry from morning to night and I spend my days holding and rocking him. Any tips?
