Milk

Dentist recommended that I stop bottles and start giving milk in a glass or something similar. I have tried using a glass but the milk goes everywhere and she doesnt drink it. She just won't drink milk from an open cup and I tried the Munchkin 360 and she got super upset about it and didn't touch it. She hasn't been having any milk the last few days which I am upset about. What do I do? She also used to have her wellbaby multivitamin in her milk and now I don't know how to administer that. She doesn't drink huge amounts so its hard to put in fluids. If I put it in a small amount of water, she notices the taste of it and says she doesn't like it. I tried putting it in her egg this morning and she said she didn't like her egg. Help - no idea what to do as she isn't getting milk or multivitamin. Thanks

What about a straw cup? Or an open cup with a plastic straw in it?
As for vitamins could you mix it into yogurt?

Mine doesnt take any milk as a drink- if she takes yoghurt and cheese etc milk as a drink is just a bonus so dont worry. I put wellbaby in her weetabix every morning and it masks the flavour. She gets milk in cereal etc as well. Been doing this since 17 months

If she’s having one milk a day I would stick with the bottle. It’s ok for a dentist to “recommend” however they don’t live with you or know your child.

We are using th munchkin 360 throughout the day and he has his milk out of the munchkin bottle with a spout.

My niece only gave up her actual bottle at age 4!

Don’t stress about it too much! Do what’s best for you and your little girl x

We went back to using the TT first trainer cup for milk. We’ve got a 8 month old who’s using so obviously our 2 year old wants the same cup but found it works well for milk then miracle cup / straw cup for water during the day

Would this bug you?

My partner does his own washing (great!) and I do mine and our toddler’s.

Sometimes I put toddler’s clothes straight in the washing machine if they are ditched, with a view that I’ll do a load later.

But this morning, my partner needed to do a load of washing and instead of washing our toddler’s clothes with his (toddler had a vest, jumper, and a top), my partner took our toddler’s clothes out, put them on the side, so he could wash his own clothes???

Why not just chuck our toddler’s clothes in with his?

This has happened twice now and he’s never washed our toddlers clothes

Being on phone whilst breastfeeding or holding baby

Husband wants me to stay off my phone when breastfeeding day or night. He says the phone is too close to the baby's head. Husband is annoyed that I said No. I'm up doing nights and baby's in my arms and I should stay off my phone. Ridiculous. He said i should read or listen to something instead.

😒

Thoughts? Anyone else doing this.

FYI i'm not on my phone all feeds. Just at 3 something in the morning when I have had minimal sleep yes I am on my phone trying to stay awake.

Baby finally sleeping through but it’s now effecting my marriage

Controversial one and I can’t believe I’m going to say this but I miss daughter waking up in the night. She’s always been a 6:30-7:30pm to bed kinda baby. But she’d wake up twice a night.
However all of a sudden she’s started sleeping through but the catch is she goes to sleep after 9pm. By the time we’ve put her to bed and go ourselves sorted there isn’t much of an evening left to spend with my husband.
We used to cook together and watch films or box sets and chat. It’s done wonder for keeping our love life going as we’ve navigated becoming parents. But now we almost don’t have any down time together.
We get up around 6:15am for our jobs so it’s not realistic for us to be staying up much later.

Has anyone else experienced similar?

Fighting sleep

My little girl is 15 weeks and for the last 3ish weeks has been fighting every day time nap, and bedtime.

She doesn’t have strict wake windows and I just follow her sleepy cues, which are usually rubbing eyes, yawning, and staring into space. When she gets to this point I will give her her dummy to soothe into sleep, but she resists it to the point I have to rock her whilst she screams for 20 minutes before finally falling asleep.

She only wakes twice in the night around 1:30 for a feed and again at 6:30.

Is there a way to stop this or will she just naturally learn to fall asleep peacefully one day? 😂
