Ok, so how many of you actually believe the pull-out method is birth control?

I've seen like 4 posts now about this, and more comments, asking if you can get pregnant from various situations that involve pulling out and no glove.

Do people actually believe this works? Is sex ed failing this badly?

The answer is yes: if you had unprotected, penetrative sex, and neither party is confirmed infertile, then the answer to "could I be pregnant" is always yes.

Don't mean to call anyone out. But come on, people. Be real.

I don’t know anyone who refers to pull out as birth control. IMO it lowers chances when compared to fully being nutted in but still very possible to get pregnant

Only got pregnant twice (when planned) from using pull out method. It’s not contraception no, but my partner isn’t lying about when he cums and waiting for his snip op🤪

The answer to could I be pregnant is always yes if you’ve had sex, valid contraception or not - nothing works 100%

I’ve seen many people on here who believe it is birth control….. it absolutely is not. I’ve used this “method” but was fully aware that it is not effective and I would be a big dummy if I got pregnant and was mad about it lol

Avatar

We use the pullout method and have done 4 years being together & then when we wanted to get pregnant we did both times first try’s. It works for us but maybe we’re just lucky

Avatar

Nope, the pull out works! Your guy just needs to be good at it 🤪

I honestly have used this method but I don't use it constantly as a birth control method. I use to think it was crazy people just use that and no backup plan especially with multiple kids.. But I know you can track your ovulation too so that's supposed to be pretty accurate.

It did work for us perfectly for 10 years…

Sex ed is definitely failing ppl because ppl still don’t under that the only way to actually prevent pregnancy is abstinence. If u engage in sex even if it’s protected or using other preventative measures to not get pregnant like BC & condoms, there is still a chance of getting pregnant. So the only way to avoid pregnancy at all costs is to not have sex at all. I don’t get why Ppl get suprised when they get pregnant on BC so it’s not at all shocking to get pregnant when pulling out. 🗣️everytime ppl engage in sex, they are taking a chance on getting pregnant. It’s a risk.
That’s why having sex for pleasure is fun until it’s not 🫠 lol jus like the sex ed teachers used to say “it only takes one time”
lol also my Husband & I do the pull out method bt I’d never consider it as a “form of Birth Control” cuz it’s not
as some1 who went thru 2unplanned/unwanted pregnancies in her teens, I know for a fact that the only full proof birth control to prevent pregnancy is not have sex at all. 🙅🏾‍♀️

Avatar

we've been using it for 11 years 🤷🏻‍♀️ never had an accident and both our pregnancies were planned where we actually tried

Avatar

It's not technically birth control, no, but if you track your cycles very close (and have regular cycles) and know when you're ovulating then it can be sufficient enough. I personally don't trust that enough lol but I know quite a few people this has worked for.

Avatar

I think people are missing the point here lol.

Avatar

I wouldn’t class it as birth control but it worked for us for over 2 decades. Also just based on statistics. Withdrawal is roughly 78% effective and condoms are roughly 87% effective when you are accounting for real world use. With perfect use those numbers go up. To 98% (condom) and 96% (withdrawal) respectively

Avatar

It’s definitely not birth control hence why I’ve never used it. I like my chances closer to the 100%, I don’t enjoy chance and until we actually wanted a child we always had protected sex.

I wouldn’t do it, I wouldn’t advise my daughter to do it. I had great sex education at my Catholic high school including about preejaculate. It’s just not happening in this house, birth control or abstinence 🤣

Avatar

I mean in conjunction with cycle tracking it can be quite effective. Depending on your age you have about a 15% chance of conceiving 5 days of your cycle. So for me no the answer is not always "yes youre probably pregnant". And while yes pre ejaculate does contain sperm its at quite low rates. Just want to add that water based lubes and human spit kill sperm at a shockingly fast rate.

Would i advise my teenager to use it? No because teenage boys cant pull out of a garage let alone a vagina. But I would teach her about cycle tracking so she understands her body better from a young age.

TBH I'm always shocked people get pregnant by accident.

Honestly I know its reckless and I could've ended up pregnant but we used the pull out method successfully for 3 years with no other birth control. He still pulls out but im also on the Copper iud so I got a little smarter lol.

Avatar

This comment section is abysmal.. it's not if it worked for you or not but rather if you believe its BC or not. Unless everyone commenting it works believes that it is BC? 😵‍💫 Sheesh

Some of you ladies are just doing too much here.

Here's a song for you

My husband and I use the pull out method as “birth control” but we are both fully aware I could get pregnant at any time. I think unless you are happy to end up pregnant it’s a huge no no.

Avatar

Yeh the pull out method doesn’t work I now have a 2 month old 😂 she is loved massively, people do need more educating we didn’t use this as a contraception we didn’t mind getting pregnant

HELP!!!

I’m so frustrated I’m trying to be considerate but it’s getting ridiculous at this point . I’m not used to being in a relationship where a man has 10,000 excuses as to why he’s not having sex with me . And at this point I’m starting to get to a point where I don’t even want him to touch me . It’s been literally a month since we’ve done anything sexual . He’ll tease me but not do anything and that makes me even more mad . I’m really starting to believe he’s a narcissist and he’s using sex to control me bc I’ve been keeping track of the dates and it’s only after we fight or when he needs it . He said before the problem is I don’t initiate but really how I’m supposed to do that when first I don’t feel attractive bc I’m 8 months pregnant and second you give off bum energy don’t want to do anything fun but play around and complain about how you have to work all the time and your tired . I don’t know what to do anymore besides just let the connection fade bc at this point he’s my roommate and I’m starting to resent him . Please help

Am i being unreasonable?

Back story is i have been with my parner for 7 years now, had has 2 kids from a previous relationship boy aged 14 and girl aged 16, his teenage girl lives with her mum and rarely comes round, she wants nothing to do with the baby no matter how much my partner trys to push a bond (i can see her giving the baby weird looks with zero attempt to play or talk to the baby)
However my partner has booked us all to go to scotland for the weekend to visit his brother and he is expecting me to pay for his daughter for the whole trip whilst he pays for his son, i get the whole splitting the cost but i do pay for most of the babies stuff out of my wages whilst also splitting the bills down in half so i put my side to why he should pay for both of his kids and im happy enough to pay for myself (the trip wasnt my idea at all, if anything im not really wanting to go with a 3 month old baby because he doesnt wanna take the pram and he is expecting me to spend everyday walking around with the baby in the carrier) but here we are not picking a argument because it makes him happy.
Sorry for the rant but am i being unreasonable for not wanting to pay for his daughters whole share of the trip?

Baby Fell Off The Bed!!

Guys im freaking out. Our baby is 1 week off five months. We don't leave him unattended on beds because he can roll both ways. We were getting ready foe bed and my husband sets the baby down close to the edge. The he sits down on the edge of the bed next to the baby. So the bed like bowed where he sat and sent my baby rolling off the bed. Im freaking out. My husband hasnt let me hold him because I guess he feels guilty and wants hold him. But i also feel like I need to because I was also scared. Hes taking his bottle just fine and stopped crying immediately after we picked him up. But like will he be OK? Do i need to get him checked out just in case?

Gym and fitness beginner tips needed

Any help please
I'm almost 3 months postpartum with my 3rd child.
I've been to the gym around 3 times in the past but I only went on the treadmill as I'm a complete beginner and have no idea what to do
I want to get into fitness and start going to the gym regularly but I'm not sure what exercises I should be doing, or what equipment to use etc.
My main goal is to lose my belly fat/mom pooch but I'd also like to work on my glutes, chest area and maybe my arms.
Any suggestions on what I should be doing at the gym.
