(This post is a little TMI) So my due date is next week on Tuesday 3rd March. I've been constipated now for about 4 days and unable to pass anything even though I have the urge to go and feel very blocked up. Have also been having nerve pain and immense pressure on and off along with it, feeling very uncomfortable. Been using movicol and tried a glycerol suppository but nothing has worked. Getting worried as I really don't want to be dealing with constipation pains and labor pains at the same time or feeling confused deciphering between the two as I will be going through birth for the first time and don't know what to expect. Does anybody have any advice or is dealing with a similar situation with constipation? I am not having a fun time.

I could be wrong but I've been told by quite a few people that your body will naturally flush out before labour starts. That's what I'm hoping anyway as constantly wishing to go but not able to

There’s nothing worse!! I’ve had it for most of my pregnancy and it’s horrible so I feel for you. I found taking movicol/glycerol didn’t do anything if I wasn’t consistent with taking movicol sachets daily and drinking lots of water.
You can eat things like 2 kiwis a day and a pear, lots and lots of fibre.
Lots of water
1-3 sachets per day until you manage to go then maintain with 1 sachet a day until your bowels are more steady lovely xx

Eating 4 dates a day has really helped me

Drink lots of fluids - you can also get lactulose from gp or pharmacy - its the only thing that helped me x

I am the same! Only thing that’s helping is a big gulp of lactulose after every meal. took a few days to kick in but i’m going again!
Hi everyone. My daughter is 13 months old and I have her via c section last August due to failure to progress. Everything else was fine apart from that. My son is 10 and I had a c section with him too. I want to start trying for another baby next year and would really love to hear if anyone had any positive stories about a vbac after 2 c sections x

I’m 11+5 and I self refered at 6 weeks. My midwife appointment went well at 9 weeks but I still haven’t heard anything from the hospital 😬 should I get in touch with them? It’s a hospital I’ve not been to before so I don’t know how last minute they can be but it’s making me super anxious that I haven’t heard yet 🫣

Should I wait till 12 weeks or get and early scan?

Feeling very guilty that I didn’t realise sooner!
That my munchkin cup was mouldy😭
I wash with warm soapy water etc but it has gone awful!!!
Reminder to everyone to check with cups with seals like this🥴

I’ve just had a growth scan at 36+3 and baby is currently weighing 8lbs 1oz.
I have a consultation appointment tomorrow to discuss further. My first was born at 39+3 and weighed 8lbs 3oz (I was induced) so I’m quite shocked at nearly 3 and a half weeks to go he’s so big. Did anyone else have something similar to this and how did it work out?

I am 11+4 and woke up this morning with quite a bit of pink watery bleeding. I would not call this spotting as had quite a bit. Have some very mild cramping with it.
Currently sitting in the maternity hospital waiting to be seen and need some support
