Hi everyone š¤
Iām trying to keep my postpartum shopping minimal but practical. So far I have:
⢠Maternity pads
⢠High-waisted underwear
⢠Peri bottle
ā¢Nipple cream
Considering Spritz for Bits
Are these enough? Should i also get cooling ice maxi pads ? Please let me know what worked for you , thank you xx

That's more than I got/used. I only used the pads and underwear.

Everything you have sounds perfect.
ā¢I personally picked out 1 nipple cream and it did not work for me at all.. so I recommend possibly picking up a second option just so you have two on hand.
ā¢I personally used witch hazel round cotton pads and disposable underwear. I would use both again.
ā¢If youāre breastfeeding then new bras and shirts. You will need breastfeeding clothes instantly. ā¢Highly recommend to buy a big water bottle too if breastfeeding.
Over all you donāt need much.

I used spritz for bits and it worked really well! Defo recommend but what you got is great I didnāt use much else x

I would definitely recommend perineal liners or witch-hazel pads. I used cooling pads for only the first few days and then just did the pad, liner/witch hazel, and dermoplast spray (my hospital provided).

Two items that I really used were silicone nipple shields (size L were bigger than I needed but the only size that helped with the pain) and a nursing pillow (bubba is 9 months and I still use it today), if you are planning to breastfeed.

Can not stress enough get anything with witch hazel in it, it stops you getting infection and cools the areas when sore x

Iād recommend witch hazel

A sits bath spray really helped me! Also was provided frozen ādiaper padsā at the hospital which were my FAVORITE!

Bra pads were essential for me for about 5-6 months as I had a lot of leakage and would soak through a bra/shirt without them. I ended up buying reusable ones to avoid too much $$ on disposables.
Contractions have been regular then seemed to taper off a bit. Screenshot from my app. Is this actually labour? Each contraction is very painful and im sort of trying to breathe through them but also sometimes having to moan. I'm shattered as I've not slept a wink so far tonight as its been ongoing on and off all evening/night. Should I call triage and ask to be seen? Don't want a wasted 40min journey š

Waters broke at 36 plus 4, after 36 hours of labour, including the most intense contractions and pushing that I thought was impossible (youāve got this ladies!) followed being cut open and stitched back up to get her out when she was stuck, my darling daughter Loretta was born at 5 pounds 5 š©·
Second time round and still the best feeling in the world, holding your newborn for the first time š„¹š„¹š„¹

Mums, has this ever happened to you?
My 9-week-old was being held upright and for a second I took my hand away from supporting his upper back/neck. He suddenly flopped backwards quite far and it really scared me. He seemed completely fine afterwards and has been acting normally.
I know babies this age still have wobbly head control, but has anyone else had a similar moment? I think I just need some reassurance š

Hi everyone š¤ Iām currently around 5 weeks pregnant and just looking for a bit of reassurance!
Iāve been having some mild cramping, quite similar to period cramps, which comes and goes. I donāt have any bleeding and it isnāt severe, but naturally Iām worrying about every little thing at the moment! š
Iāve submitted my maternity self-referral but Iām still waiting for it to be accepted, so I havenāt been able to speak to a midwife yet.
Did anyone else experience mild cramping around 4ā6 weeks? Was everything okay with your pregnancy? š¤
Iād love to hear your experiences! x
