Saying I love you?

Just curious how many July 23 babies are saying 'I love you'. My son isn't behind with his speech development or anything and although I tell him a 100 times a day that I love him he just nods and goes 'oh' (which is his way of saying yes 🤣). It's not massively bothering me but I can't wait to hear it back!

My daughter will say she loves us but only on her own terms so more often than not won’t say it in response when we tell her we love her but she will come out with it randomly every now and again! He will say it in his own time I’m sure bless him and it will be so lovely when he does! 💗

My son says I love you and we play the 'i love you more' game. He will always say it after I say it to him and occasionally out of the blue says he loves us without prompts x

My sons the same delayed in speech, we tell him we love him all day n when we do he’s started doing the heart shape with you fingers when we say it x

My son is delayed and he recently started saying it, but only a few times.
Usually if was say it to him he comes running over for a kiss

I get a "I love you mummy" which melts my heart ❤️. I've noticed his speech has really improved recently saying things like "thank you for my dinner mummy" or "no thank you I'm okay". He was only saying 3 word sentences until recently

We get I love you - both in reply to us saying, out of the blue & now he says it when he’s saying goodbye to us of his grandparents. It’s my fave part that no one mentions! Worth waiting for when it comes 🥹

He’ll reply to me and say I love you if I say it but at bed time when I leave his room he will say love you mummy

Mine doesn't say I love you but yesterday he grabbed my face and said "how cute you are, my sweet" 🥰🤣 He's not heard it from us so not sure where he heard it lol

My son usually says “I like you” 😂😂 he can say love you, but love is mainly reserved for better things than me aka chocolate/ice cream. Only occasionally will I get an I love you.

Any mamas in this situation? Doc says she needs formula

Breastfed since one month old. Born (4lbs 11oz) At her two month check with my midwives they said she was doing really well with weight gain (6lbs 5oz). Now at 3 months we went to our family doctor and she is at 7lbs 6.4oz.

My doctor is concerned about weight gain but also said she’s doing great with holding her head, being attentive, etc. Dr. Said I should give formula

But what I don’t understand is my daughter always seems satisfied with feeding and doesn’t cry or fuss after. Anyone have a similar situation?

Sleep Training

Hi! I was j wondering when everyone is starting sleep training and how they are doing it? My 3mo wakes up once of a night at around 3/4am after being asleep since 10pm, and has been doing so for about a month now. I’m not sure wether that means she is ready or not? She can sometimes settle herself after being woken up from a nap after about 2-3 mins (I never leave her longer as I get scared/worried about if she starts crying) and she has a pretty decent routine during the day. Should I start sleep training? What methods are good and reliable ( I am NOT considering the cry-it out method so please do not suggest it) (Pic so I don’t get lost)

When do your children go to bed?

I just saw a post about people being lucky their kids go to bed at 7pm, the comments were filled with people saying if they sent their kids to bed at 7…they’d be up at 3:30am / 4am / 5am…why is that??

My son goes to bed at 7pm and wakes up around 8/8:30am. I do consider myself really blessed with his sleep schedule however he doesn’t nap and he’s nearly 2 🤣 he dropped his final nap when he was around 14/15 months old 💔 if it’s later please let me know! Also what time they wake up - I’m curious 👀

Baby Losing Weight ☹️

Looking for a bit of advice/reassurance from other mums who are breastfeeding.

Baby had lost almost 10% of his birth weight at his Day 5 midwife home visit. He was weighed again today at Day 7 and his total weight loss is now 11%, so I’m feeling quite disheartened.

I’m exclusively breastfeeding and he’s feeding at least every 2 hours. He seems to be latching well and we’re getting plenty of wet nappies. The midwife is coming back in 2 days to weigh him again.

I’m going to make a conscious effort to increase my food and fluid intake too.

Has anyone else had a similar experience with their baby and managed to turn the weight loss around? Would really appreciate hearing how things went for you. Thanks

Laid back (biological) breastfeeding position

Hiya! ✨🌸
My baby is starting to feel heavy while breastfeeding in the cross/cradle position, and I would like to switch to the laid-back position.

Can you please share some tips?
Even better if there is an online video that I can watch (I’m a visual person)

Thank you so much 😊♥️
