Bath time method

I find myself still using our 6 month bath seat with my 14 month old. She doesn’t seem to mind it until the end of bath time when she wants to stand up but obviously can’t. Is she too old and need to be transitioned to just sitting in the tub? If you do this, do you fill the water only until their legs or under their bellybutton? Is that too little? I’m nervous no bath seat won’t be safe enough.

My 14 months old just is in the tub, BUT we have a non sip mat on the whole bottom& I let the water get about belly ish before I plug it.

I don't think you're causing your kid any harm by using it! Also it's definitely not too late to do anything. Transition when you or your baby is ready. I don't think it's any big deal doing what you're doing now.

my sons usually do bath time together, 3.5 and 14 months. they both climb around, stand up, play with toys, splash eachother, etc. theres no way id be able to get my 14 month old in a bath chair-hes too wild. but all kids are different and if theyre happy in the chair its probably much easier

My little one has been in the tub since August ( 9 months ) she outgrew her little tub . She has so much fun playing in the tub with her toys .

We're still using the infant/toddler mini bathtub 🤦‍♀️ and he's definitely outgrown it, and pretty sure passed the weight limit on that thing a long time ago... 🙈 He's so used to it though and still sits calmly in it (for now). I'm sticking with it as long as I can, I don't need a wet slippery but still unstable baby loose in the bathtub 🙈

When my Dec baby bathes alone, We use a 4-in-1 tub by Fisher price. We're in stage 4 which removes the seat. It's just a mini tub that you fill to the belly button.

When my children bath together, he just sits in the tub and I do fill the water a little lower when he's in it vs just my oldest. But it's probably just above his belly button with them both in the water. We have no-slip attachments on the bottom of the tub which help. But I'm there the whole time anyway.

I do heat the bathroom with a space heater. But they like pouring water on themselves so I think the combo helps them stay pretty comfortable.

Would this bug you?

My partner does his own washing (great!) and I do mine and our toddler’s.

Sometimes I put toddler’s clothes straight in the washing machine if they are ditched, with a view that I’ll do a load later.

But this morning, my partner needed to do a load of washing and instead of washing our toddler’s clothes with his (toddler had a vest, jumper, and a top), my partner took our toddler’s clothes out, put them on the side, so he could wash his own clothes???

Why not just chuck our toddler’s clothes in with his?

This has happened twice now and he’s never washed our toddlers clothes

Being on phone whilst breastfeeding or holding baby

Husband wants me to stay off my phone when breastfeeding day or night. He says the phone is too close to the baby's head. Husband is annoyed that I said No. I'm up doing nights and baby's in my arms and I should stay off my phone. Ridiculous. He said i should read or listen to something instead.

😒

Thoughts? Anyone else doing this.

FYI i'm not on my phone all feeds. Just at 3 something in the morning when I have had minimal sleep yes I am on my phone trying to stay awake.

Baby finally sleeping through but it’s now effecting my marriage

Controversial one and I can’t believe I’m going to say this but I miss daughter waking up in the night. She’s always been a 6:30-7:30pm to bed kinda baby. But she’d wake up twice a night.
However all of a sudden she’s started sleeping through but the catch is she goes to sleep after 9pm. By the time we’ve put her to bed and go ourselves sorted there isn’t much of an evening left to spend with my husband.
We used to cook together and watch films or box sets and chat. It’s done wonder for keeping our love life going as we’ve navigated becoming parents. But now we almost don’t have any down time together.
We get up around 6:15am for our jobs so it’s not realistic for us to be staying up much later.

Has anyone else experienced similar?

Fighting sleep

My little girl is 15 weeks and for the last 3ish weeks has been fighting every day time nap, and bedtime.

She doesn’t have strict wake windows and I just follow her sleepy cues, which are usually rubbing eyes, yawning, and staring into space. When she gets to this point I will give her her dummy to soothe into sleep, but she resists it to the point I have to rock her whilst she screams for 20 minutes before finally falling asleep.

She only wakes twice in the night around 1:30 for a feed and again at 6:30.

Is there a way to stop this or will she just naturally learn to fall asleep peacefully one day? 😂

Reducing formula

My little one is about to turn one and I know I need to be reducing her formula intake. She does eat well but there is always a concern she isn’t eating everything she needs nutritionally. She currently has 4 150ml bottles a day. 1st one about 05:45 and the final one before bed and tooth brushing. She loves her milk so I know it will be hard to reduce. My aim is to lose the day bottles first.
