I discovered yesterday (8.5 weeks) that my pregnancy had stopped at 5 weeks.
Grieving and scared about how painful it will be to “expel” everything.
Any thoughts, books, tips, videos reccomedations to overcome this? My partner is back to work and behaves like nothing happened. My mother and father in law did not even bother to send me a WhatsApp message or call.

I am so sorry to hear this. I took pills to induce miscarriage and whilst it wasn’t pleasant the pain was manageable with over the counter painkillers. Take care of yourself x

Im so sorry. I recently found out at 11.5 weeks that my embryo didn’t develop after 6 weeks. I opted to take the abortion pill to expel my pregnancy, so I cannot speak for a “natural” miscarriage.
Tips for you:
• get a lot of maxi pads
• if you are taking the abortion pill, do not - I repeat, do not - take it at night, or else you’re going to be bleeding through the night. I learned this the hard way last weekend
• and get something to collect the blood in, in case you want to keep any of the embryonic tissue / elements of conception to yourself ♥️
• tell your partner to step it up

All MC are different. I hope your experience is as gentle as can be. I have both types or surgery, medication, and natural tissue passing and I didn’t need pain relief at all. Everyone is different. Take it step by step and have what you might need to hand, and hopefully you won’t need it. Sending love xx
