Hey! I am 38 weeks and my baby is always very very active but today seems a bit less than normal. I still can feel him moving but less. Would you consider this a reason to call the triage?

Yes I would ring them, any change of movement you should ring just to be safe x

I went into hospital for reduced movements this week. The midwife explained it really well that it isn’t just ‘reduced movements’ but it’s ’any change to your babies normal pattern’ and i felt reassured that id gone in x

yes pls do!!! anything abnormal you should always get checked out even if you think it’s fine x

If in doubt, get checked out! I'm very similar to you and am just on my way back home from getting my reduced movements looked into. Always better to be safe than sorry x

Yes, anything that's different to normal
Thank you all for your advices ❤️ I am heading to the hospital now

Hi, The baby movement is changing that's why maybe you feel it less. I had the same symptoms, but to have peace of mind better to check with the hospital.

Absolutely call triage! Our baby's movements reduced at 40+5, we went to get it checked and they discovered baby was distressed and heartbeats would drop every now and then. They suggested a c-section, which was not planned and quite scary as it happened in less than 1 hour from suggesting it, but so glad we went with it because baby had the cord wrapped around her neck and body and my contractions were tightening it. She was absolutely perfect in every way and didn't need any assistance once born and my recovery has been amazing!
Not to say that every reduced movement is an issue (a friend of mine went two nights ago and then baby moved and it was all ok), but it's always good to get it checked for yours and your baby's safety. ❤️🙏
This is a potty shot scan pic from my 20 week scan - we had a private scan at 17 weeks and were told one gender. Fast forward to 20 week scan and we have just been told the opposite gender.
Would love anyone’s opinions on what gender we are having?! X

Am I wrong for being a bit upset? So right when I found it I was pregnant, before I even had a Obgyn visit…I was having pretty bad one-sided abdominal pain. I had went to the ER three times because of it. The first time I was diagnosed with pregnancy of unknown location, so basically a possible ectopic. I had gotten ultrasounds three times the first two times it was still too early to see anything and the third time I went they were able to locate the pregnancy in the uterus. I was around six weeks at the time they could see the pregnancy.Am I wrong for asking my OBGYN for an ultrasound? The Three ultrasounds I did get at the ER were only to confirm location and I didn’t get to see anything at all the monitor was turned away from me each time and couldn’t even ask questions as the ER doctor would explain what the technician seen the whole time. They said pregnancy was in the uterus but said the heartrate of 108 was a little low for that gestational age. and I asked my obgyn if I could get a routine ultrasound and they obviously seen the 3 ultrasounds on my mychart and said that they only usually do one and I won’t be getting one until 20 weeks. So because I went to the ER and got a bunk ass ultrasound I’m now unable to see how things are progressing at almost 9 weeks. I don’t even know if the baby is still growing. When I lived in Michigan before I moved and with my first child I got an ultrasound too many times to count. I guess I’m just disappointed

I got sent for a growth scan today due to the bump measurement not changing in 2 weeks. Been today and they said baby is measuring 4th percentile. I’m 38 weeks and haven’t had any previous growth scans due to the bump growth always following the chart and being low risk. They’ve said baby needs to come out ASAP so they offered me an induction. I’ve had this now and it was painful but it doesn’t last very long! Very proud of myself for going through with it! Is anyone else going through this? They are estimating baby is 5 and a half pounds so I’m trying to be positive as myself and my husband and our sisters were all 6lb or under. I wasn’t expecting a big baby. The concern from the doctors is that the baby’s head is 1 percentile and they can’t see an obvious reason as to why. They have no other data to go off, as I haven’t had a scan since 20 weeks where I was 50 percentile. Really hoping the induction works and I don’t need a c section! 🤞

I'm having my c-section next week, after having had a natural birth last year. I'm not actually worried about the procedure itself, more about what to expect after. What would you say was the worse day, and when would you say you really started to feel better? Thanks so much!
