C-Section mums - what was the most 'painful' day?

I'm having my c-section next week, after having had a natural birth last year. I'm not actually worried about the procedure itself, more about what to expect after. What would you say was the worse day, and when would you say you really started to feel better? Thanks so much!

Day 2 both times was achey and a bit uncomfortable after the theatre drugs really wore off but honestly, I’ve had worse period pain than my section recoveries

I would say when they try to get you walking after the procedure and day two. Moving out of bed was the hardest as it wasn't as easy as just getting out of bed it took a while to get used to this. After a natural birth first time I struggled with c section and it really did take about 5-6weeks until I felt really comfortable moving around etc. but I know everyone is different just my experience

No painful day for me it was just random uncomfortable moments. Like the first shower - my mind still wanted my body to move in ways that I couldn’t immediately after.
Car journey home - such an odd feeling especially going over bumps; apparently it helps to place a pillow over your scar.
Getting in and out of bed -someone recommended a bed rail off Amazon to me which was a god send especially when attempting to roll myself up for night feeds etc

Just try to keep somewhat mobile but don’t over stretch and you should have a smooth healing journey. I also started scar massages as soon as i was signed off.

Day 2 and 3 were the worry days for me. Day 3 was my peak! The gas pain in my shoulder was the first of it, but using my abdominal muscles on accident was second lol

I had to take 10 days of blood thinning injections and this for me was the most painful out of the whole thing!! My tummy was black and blue and so sore/swollen. Around 1 week/10 days was my worst. I actually didnt get up and walking in the hospital until about 12 hours after, I was happy enough just spending time with our newborn and couldn't be bothered to get up when they asked 😂 Id just said not yet and they let me be. I was constantly doing foot/leg exercises and by the time 12 hours had passed I actually got up and walking fine with no pain xx

The worst pain is when the painkillers and epidural wore off on the day. It felt like stabbing pain and then standing up to go walking and peeing was really uncomfortable. But every day after that was way better, just a bit sore and manageable with just ibuprofen and paracetamol. I was painkillers free by day 4 post op

Day 2-5 I would say. Definitely stay on top your painkillers and everyday after will get easier. Don’t be scared to walk a little each day, it’ll get easier. I felt better/ manageable around day 4/5. Hope all goes well for you x

The day after when the pain relief wears off. I find moving around helps.

When I was told I could try to get up and walk, I audibly laughed out loud at the nurse 😂 I cannot describe the amount of willpower and strength it took to sit up on the side of that bed.
Don't let anyone make you laugh shortly after either, thats uncomfortable 😣

Boy or Girl??

This is a potty shot scan pic from my 20 week scan - we had a private scan at 17 weeks and were told one gender. Fast forward to 20 week scan and we have just been told the opposite gender.
Would love anyone’s opinions on what gender we are having?! X

Ultrasound at 20 weeks

Am I wrong for being a bit upset? So right when I found it I was pregnant, before I even had a Obgyn visit…I was having pretty bad one-sided abdominal pain. I had went to the ER three times because of it. The first time I was diagnosed with pregnancy of unknown location, so basically a possible ectopic. I had gotten ultrasounds three times the first two times it was still too early to see anything and the third time I went they were able to locate the pregnancy in the uterus. I was around six weeks at the time they could see the pregnancy.Am I wrong for asking my OBGYN for an ultrasound? The Three ultrasounds I did get at the ER were only to confirm location and I didn’t get to see anything at all the monitor was turned away from me each time and couldn’t even ask questions as the ER doctor would explain what the technician seen the whole time. They said pregnancy was in the uterus but said the heartrate of 108 was a little low for that gestational age. and I asked my obgyn if I could get a routine ultrasound and they obviously seen the 3 ultrasounds on my mychart and said that they only usually do one and I won’t be getting one until 20 weeks. So because I went to the ER and got a bunk ass ultrasound I’m now unable to see how things are progressing at almost 9 weeks. I don’t even know if the baby is still growing. When I lived in Michigan before I moved and with my first child I got an ultrasound too many times to count. I guess I’m just disappointed

Induction and low percentile

I got sent for a growth scan today due to the bump measurement not changing in 2 weeks. Been today and they said baby is measuring 4th percentile. I’m 38 weeks and haven’t had any previous growth scans due to the bump growth always following the chart and being low risk. They’ve said baby needs to come out ASAP so they offered me an induction. I’ve had this now and it was painful but it doesn’t last very long! Very proud of myself for going through with it! Is anyone else going through this? They are estimating baby is 5 and a half pounds so I’m trying to be positive as myself and my husband and our sisters were all 6lb or under. I wasn’t expecting a big baby. The concern from the doctors is that the baby’s head is 1 percentile and they can’t see an obvious reason as to why. They have no other data to go off, as I haven’t had a scan since 20 weeks where I was 50 percentile. Really hoping the induction works and I don’t need a c section! 🤞

Reduced movements

Hey! I am 38 weeks and my baby is always very very active but today seems a bit less than normal. I still can feel him moving but less. Would you consider this a reason to call the triage?
