Am I wrong for being a bit upset? So right when I found it I was pregnant, before I even had a Obgyn visit…I was having pretty bad one-sided abdominal pain. I had went to the ER three times because of it. The first time I was diagnosed with pregnancy of unknown location, so basically a possible ectopic. I had gotten ultrasounds three times the first two times it was still too early to see anything and the third time I went they were able to locate the pregnancy in the uterus. I was around six weeks at the time they could see the pregnancy.Am I wrong for asking my OBGYN for an ultrasound? The Three ultrasounds I did get at the ER were only to confirm location and I didn’t get to see anything at all the monitor was turned away from me each time and couldn’t even ask questions as the ER doctor would explain what the technician seen the whole time. They said pregnancy was in the uterus but said the heartrate of 108 was a little low for that gestational age. and I asked my obgyn if I could get a routine ultrasound and they obviously seen the 3 ultrasounds on my mychart and said that they only usually do one and I won’t be getting one until 20 weeks. So because I went to the ER and got a bunk ass ultrasound I’m now unable to see how things are progressing at almost 9 weeks. I don’t even know if the baby is still growing. When I lived in Michigan before I moved and with my first child I got an ultrasound too many times to count. I guess I’m just disappointed

Its normal to have only 2-3 ultrasounds with your ob. But if you worry something is wrong I would keep pressing. You can go to a boutique ultrasound but they cant legally tell you medical advice but mine did tell me something looked weird and to take it to my ob (it turned out to be nothing)

I think only 1 is a little uncommon in this day and age. But you are probably still a little early. My OB had a suggested schedule of 3 at 12-14 weeks, 20-22 weeks, and 36 weeks. I ended up having a few more because of unusual circumstances/GD

You can go get an ultrasound on your own, there's multiple private locations, we have done itMy OB only does one and then I go do another one around the 20 week mark, the anatomy one. That's it, the other visits it is only a Doppler to hear the heartbeat (haven't even gotten a printed ultrasound and I'm 22 weeks pregnant now)
This is a potty shot scan pic from my 20 week scan - we had a private scan at 17 weeks and were told one gender. Fast forward to 20 week scan and we have just been told the opposite gender.
Would love anyone’s opinions on what gender we are having?! X

I got sent for a growth scan today due to the bump measurement not changing in 2 weeks. Been today and they said baby is measuring 4th percentile. I’m 38 weeks and haven’t had any previous growth scans due to the bump growth always following the chart and being low risk. They’ve said baby needs to come out ASAP so they offered me an induction. I’ve had this now and it was painful but it doesn’t last very long! Very proud of myself for going through with it! Is anyone else going through this? They are estimating baby is 5 and a half pounds so I’m trying to be positive as myself and my husband and our sisters were all 6lb or under. I wasn’t expecting a big baby. The concern from the doctors is that the baby’s head is 1 percentile and they can’t see an obvious reason as to why. They have no other data to go off, as I haven’t had a scan since 20 weeks where I was 50 percentile. Really hoping the induction works and I don’t need a c section! 🤞

Hey! I am 38 weeks and my baby is always very very active but today seems a bit less than normal. I still can feel him moving but less. Would you consider this a reason to call the triage?

I'm having my c-section next week, after having had a natural birth last year. I'm not actually worried about the procedure itself, more about what to expect after. What would you say was the worse day, and when would you say you really started to feel better? Thanks so much!
