Anyone else wanting labour to start asap but also not at the same time? Just had a cry after attempting perineal massage with my husband again because it was so uncomfortable/painful and it just sent me into a major “I can’t do this” panic worrying how I’ll cope with labour pain let alone internal examinations! Ended up crying and telling my partner he’ll have to give birth for me, which obviously can’t happen 😅 my anxiety is increasing as my due date gets closer even though I ideally want baby slightly earlier if possible as I don’t want to be induced or go overdue! Anyone else feeling increased emotions/anxiety lately? Is this a sign labour is near??

I feel this so much ❤️ I spent the last 6 months working on birth anxiety as I practically had a phobia of it, feeling so much better now. Mostly did this through hypnobirthing, so maybe look up some hypnobirthing websites!
The gist of it is: your body is meant to do this. It grew a human from scratch and you had no input, right? It also knows how to birth a human. Our media makes birth look like it's too much to handle for our bodies, but it's not, a birthing woman's body is not weak. It's scary but it'll be okay, and if it gets too hard then there will be pain relief and midwives who have seen thousands of births to help you through it.
Don't forget, they can't force you to go through an induction, 1st pregnancies average birth in week 41 anyways.
And yes, I'm 40 weeks now, feeling paranoid about every 'labour sign' and very emotional!! I'm assuming emotions is linked to an increase in hormones & I'm just trying to ride the wave. We can do this! 💜

I would highly recommend reading or watching videos on hypno birthing too. It has changed my mind set and I have found it really empowering. Like said we were built to do this, it’s just the fear mongering from people/media that makes us think we can’t! We got this 💪

Also massively recommend hypnobirthing videos! I really like Bridget Teyler on YouTube. She has loads and loads of free videos that massively helped me with my first birth! Have a watch of some empowering/natural birth vlogs. It’s incredible what our bodies are capable of. But equally, if you need pain relief there are so many options. You really have got this!
I’d love some uk feedback on results time. We was called in for NIPT Harmony last week and had the test on Tuesday. The results take 7-10 days but the nurse said they go to Germany and there super efficient so she would expect to get them back possibly today. Has anyone else got results in 6-7 days. I’m making myself ill worrying and barely sleeping

Is anyone else getting more scared as they get closer to due date? I don’t mean scared of birth, I’m actually quite excited for that. But I mean scared something is going to go wrong before I reach birth.
this is my first baby and my whole pregnancy I’ve had NO complications, it feels too good to be true. now everyday that goes by I’m worrying “everything’s been so perfect somethings bound to go wrong”. and I just keep worrying about the WORST scenarios. it’s sending my anxiety through the roof.
I just can’t believe this is real life and I’m really about to have a baby in my arms. It’s so bittersweet but feels too good too be true.
I just want him out of me already so this anxiety can go away and I know everything is fine.
anyone else?

34 weeks tomorrow and just ready for this baby to be evicted! I never struggled in my last pregnancy but this time everything seems to be going wrong 😩 I was diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism a few weeks ago and my anxiety is sky high and I just can’t breathe especially with a big boy pressing on my lungs 🤦🏼♀️ Please tell me I am not the only one who is done😭

Second pregnancy - third baby! Just feeling all the emotions at the moment as I’ve got my beautiful twin girls already and I am more thinking about them than my baby boy who is going to be born tomorrow! Also worried about my recovery and the c-section itself as there is more at risk.
Really hope that these sad feelings go and I feel happy and excited for the girls to have a new baby brother. Not sure why I’m posting.
Is anyone having their c section soon? Or has the same feelings? Xx

I am FTM and about to reach 37 week. I have heard, read, research, prepare and done everything to be in good state of mood for delivery. I have amazing support system with me.
But still i am anxious, scared as what is about to happen in upcoming weeks?
How it will start? How i have to be on alert mode to make sure its that sign of delivery. Or how it will go? What about my child health and my health after delivery? And endless thoughts on what’s gonna happen next?
How are you preparing for all of it mentally? Or anyone else having this anxiety?

Apologies that this post is TMI but I dont know what to do. I've got two daughters who are 2 and a half and nearly 10 months. I've always had really heavy periods since I started at 12, I'm now 29.
After my first daughter was born, I bled every day for 6 months, had a load of hospital tests, scans, blood tests, nothing was ever picked up. I'm incredibly anemic, my ferritin level recently was 6, I was put on iron tablets that are 210mg but they aren't working. I feel really weak, constantly exhausted, dizzy, no appetite and for heavy periods all I get given by the GP is tranexamic acid tablets which help to slow it down. The consultant also said this after my first daughter qas born.
The GP just doesn't care and said they aren't doing my bloods again until November. I can't go to A&E when I've 2 kids to look after and my partner works full time and none of our family live near us. Has anyone been through similar? What was the outcome?
