I'm at the point of total overthinking, have washed all babies clothes in non-bio and fairy softener, smelling delishious but I'm now worried the smell is too overpowering for a newborn! I know the NHS say there's no evidence that non-bio detergents are needed for babies. And so I might have to wash some of the hand me downs that have been in storage in oxi as they have yellow milk stains. What's everyone else washing their baby clothes in??

I’m just using non bio powder! I thought I’d heard that you have to be careful with softeners, but who knows! I also have to be honest, I didn’t wash everting with my first! I think it often just depends how sensitive their skin is, so I really wouldn’t worry.

I use fairy non bio and softener and have used for both my babies with no issues xxx

Fairy non bio for washing - and no softener or scents.. but that’s only because my skin doesn’t like fragrance so playing it safe for baby! But I know lots of people use the softeners and scents x

I use Ariel (bio) powder but am careful to use the right amount and not too much. No fabric softener. We are a family of sensitive skinned people and find this works best whilst still being effective at cleaning. Plus we use cloth nappies so need bio really to get those clean properly at 40 degrees
