Hey! So my daughter is almost 11mo old. I usually give my daughter a bottle before feeding meals just so shes not super fussy when eating. 💙

Okay thanks. Does your baby eat table food or baby food? I’ve been a little nervous with the table food because he just now has teeth coming in so what things would you recommend as a starter?

Rice is always good. And smashed foods. If you're going to try to start solids, make sure it's fingertip wide. Toast is good. I cut my daughters toast up in 4 long slices. Same with eggs. But if your baby is just starting out on foods, definitely work the texture and size up. So smashed food then slightly chunky texture and then just strips

At our daycare we do bottles through 1 year introducing food at 6 months. And then transition to sippy cups with milk when they hit a year and then transition to open faced cups when they go to toddler class. We really only allow bottles in older infant classes if the mom is still providing breast milk as formula doesn’t provide much benefit past 1 year. (We probably wouldn’t give cow milk if it wasn’t required by the state, because it has barely any nutritional value but it does hydrate them if they aren’t used to water yet)

Some families try sippys with straws because it has a similar suck sensation I think. We just use just a plain plastic one they have to tilt back because we are using it as a stepping stone to the open faced cups. The munchkin 360 I feel like are also nice

I used to do 2-3ish oz first get them out of the fussiness then food however much they’re wanting or you’re wanting to give and then top them off with the rest of the bottle so they’re getting the feel of “meal time” but still getting the bottle comfort if that makes any sense 😅
