I met a mum friend last year and have been invited to their wedding this year (all day invite, just me - my husband and children aren’t invited). They have asked for money towards their honeymoon instead of gifts. How much would you give?

If it was me I would probably do £30.

We were gifted £50 or £100 from guests when we got married in 2023. My friends have just got married but had a family only civil ceremony and I gifted them £50. So probably would do the same to a recent mum friend who’s wedding I’m actually attending xx

I would base it on your budget, usually if it was a friend that I haven't known very long I'd prob do £25 - 30. We do £50 for closer family friends and £100 for actual relatives.

We got married last year and most couples gave us £50 :)

I’ve always done £50 for friends

I'd do personally what you can afford.

€30 as you are going on your own x

I would do £30 for not a close friend, especially as it's only a solo invite too. Close friends/family £50/£100
