Should be about 7.5-8lb+ but when a midwife measures it can be off by quite abit. Babies normally gain 0.5lb a week x

I had a scan on the 7th March and he was 4.8lb. In 12 days hes put on a lot. Should I be worried?😢

Babies go through a lot of growth from 30-40weeks, there's normally a big spurt at 33 weeks and the rest of the weight they put on is fattening up rather than actual growing, I think they are supposed to put on 200g/0.5lb a week, baby putting on weight is an excellent sign that it's getting ready for entering the world!

Mine was 6.5lb estimated at my 36 week scan and was told from then on she’d be doing about .05lb a week x
