Small bumps

I have a really small bump, at 27 weeks pregnant. People keep commenting on the fact my bump is so small and its starting to worry & get me down. Has anyone here had a small bump with a baby that weighed measured average size? Its really worrying me! I have a 30 week scan and one at 37 weeks because im on a moderate pathway - had a gastric sleeve in 2023 so its to check she is growing but as the comments are coming im now panicking where I wasnt before 😫

As long as your midwife and checks come back positive try not and worry about other peoples comments. Everyone and every pregnancy is different. With my eldest my bump was tiny but he came out 7ib 15oz and long šŸ˜‚ my youngest I was huge, my bump was almost twice the size as my eldest and he was a 9 pounder

Someone I know her bump at 37 weeks was the same size as mine at 19 weeks, her baby was born weighing 8lb 7oz! I'm actually terrified because I'm now 33 weeks and huge!

My hairdresser has had three babies and even at full term you can't see her bump, she just looked bloated.
Most people pop in their third trimester, I thought I had a small bump and my mum kept telling me I was massive (thanks mum šŸ™„) as long as your midwife is happy, there's no reason to be concerned ā™„ļø

Honestly people need to shut up on commenting on women’s bumps (actually bodies in general). Humans come in all different sizes and shapes and and so does pregnancy bellies. Please don’t let it get to you. There’s nothing wrong with a small bump!! I had a super small bump with my first and gave birth to a 3,5 kg - 60 cm baby. Absolutely micro giant. šŸ˜‚ the size of your belly doesn’t determine the size of your baby at all.

Also what I do when I get comments I just comment back (to non pregnant women) on their body to make them feel equally uncomfortable and hopefully they reconsider their behaviour for next time they time they want to comment on someone’s body. šŸ«¶šŸ¼

Bump size is influenced by sooooo many factors. Ignore peoples comments you can’t win, I have a massive bump and am always asked ā€˜you sure there’s not twins in there’ šŸ™„

As long as your midwives are happy with babies growth I wouldn’t be concerned by peoples unnecessary comments x

People honestly šŸ™„ and its my first pregnancy so literally have no clue. Its crazy how much people want to put the fear in you isnt it

Thank you fir positive stories xx

Obviously if your midwife isnt concerned then dont worry. Everyone carries differently. Baby is growing how they should be.
I had a small bump, I am 5ft so probably why. And had a small baby, they had no concerns over my bump. And baby was born healthy, preterm but healthy

Don't panic! My bump was really small until the last trimester...then all of sudden it was growing DAILY. Be patient and ignore everyone apart from the midwifes and the doctors. They will tell you if something is wrong.

I had a really small bump and my midwife kept referring me for growth scans. Baby was perfect!

She was born at 36+2, 6lb9oz, and extremely healthy!!! Don’t panic at all, if something is wrong someone will tell you, it’s more than likely baby is just sitting further back and therefore you’re not getting much of a bump! You’re doing great ā¤ļø

I was huge but ended up having a 6lb 12oz baby haha, she was tiny compared to now

I had a tiny bump until the very last couple of weeks but my girl was 5lb2oz so she was tiny but she was still healthy

Do active babies in the womb become active newborns?

I had my 40 week ultrasound yesterday (on my due date) and the doctor mentioned how active my baby is. Curious as to your experiences regarding if your baby was active in the womb, are they likely to be active when they’re newborn? 😊

Early Labour?

I’m 34 weeks today, since 3am I’ve been having irregular cramping which becomes quite intense and has caused me to vomit. I’ve also had diarrhoea. Could I be in early labour or could I just have a bad stomach? I feel generally well in myself
